hey bill, I just had to de burr 1 juice hole that had a flap left on, and there were chips in the bottom near the blue insulator. I'll get pix of the chips and will mic the posts.
I cant seem to get any wire between the post and ceramic, but that is likely user (me) error.
edit; took a closer look, and the dbase tank top seems a bit rough, and I will certainly get pix of everything for you tomorrow. Its not crazy bad, but I was just about to take a file out to finish the juice hole...

Even after the bath... I'm very sorry.
If you find it difficult to put the cup on the pin, you can turn the cup around until you find the spot that fits better. The CE2 cups are not completely round, so in some positions they fit better. The thickest wire that can fit between the cup and the pin is 0.20mm

just skimming by to say merry christmas to all you by leo huys and billie. Also great customer service billie. I think all of us have complete confidence in you products, service and integrity. My parcel went missing and I was sent out a replacement so quickly from billie before a full postal investigation was completed. I would struggle to find many businesses like that. Hi! Been using your wonderful gear for a while (Bod, drippers, etc.) and bought an APOLLO the moment it was released, in spite of the fact that I'd never done my own coils before! Lovely piece of work, as usual, but I've run into a problem. I started suffering mysterious issues with the Apollo about a week ago and then (in the early hours on Christmas eve morning), it gave up on me, which was especially annoying as I didn't have any backup ceramic coils for my drippers. I stripped it down to try to work out what had gone wrong [n.b. prior to doing this, I had never fully removed the hollow centre pin, just to be on the safe side!]. Confused at first because there seemed to be another o-ring beyond the rubber one that nestles in the base, one that seemed just too large to be held by the [centre of the] centre pin. Took me a while to figure out, had to look at pics/video to compare, but what seems to have happened is that the black acetal insulation has detached itself at the base of the threaded part of the cup, creating an seperate ring that does not stay in place (or insulate, so obvioiusly messing things up!?). Can you help? I'm desperate to get up and running again (with what I must say is the most beautifully made/designed stuff!).

If by giving up, you mean it didn't fire, there are a few things you can do (like threading the cup tighter on the base, to make the pin stick out from the bottom) to make it work. It always depends on the mod it is on.
The acetal rings that are between the wings (positive and negative pole), to separate them, are placed inside the gaps of the wings to separate them and are tightened into place when you thread the pin with the wings. You have to put them in straight, to make them fit correctly. It is easier to put the bottom one on the pin, line it up with the wings and thread it in.
If by any chance, you deformed it, while trying to put it in or remove it, so it can't line up to get in, I will put spare acetal rings in store tomorrow and I will make a video as well.
There is no reason to dis-assemble the wings, as mentioned on the video, that's why we give the brass separator to help change the pin with ease

My dbase is one of my favourites. I did manage to break my long tank tube over Christmas and now the bottom cap has a nasty scratch. That's what I get for letting other people touch my gear. I am just deciding how to polish out the scratch and work out what I need in my next order other than another long tube.
