As red white and blue as I have as far as equipment. Yes that is blue painters tape used as a label. Works great!

The 4th of July when I was growing up was about community, getting together and remembering the people who fought for our Freedoms which back then were the Civil War, WW1,2 and Korea. Yes some of those Vets were still alive.
The whole town would gather, A morning parade, bands would play, carnivales was set up with games and contests and bakery sales etc. Then as dusk hit, we all would gather to watch a 20 minutes fireworks display, that had all the colors, patterns of the flag, Washington and other greats of our Country. We were a community as one thankful for what others gave for us to be free.

That is what I remember about the 4th of July.
an America that was...

It is important that while democracy can play a large role in personal freedom, it does not always equal freedom. As warned of in the Federalist Papers, what Alexis de Tocqueville later called the "tyranny of the majority" can often trample the freedoms of individuals and minorities whose beliefs and practices conflict with those of the majority of the population. In celebrating freedom, consider not just those freedoms which you enjoy, but also those of others.
