Cake batter. Single flavor or a recipe preferred??

I am looking for a good ADV with cake batter. I have seen some places offer it as a single flavor, I have also seen some recipes for it.

Which do you prefer and why? Also, if you have a good recipe for it, please share!!

I am new to this -- as I'm gathering information -- have not tried mixing anything yet. But here is a recipe that I have added to my database. This may be something I try first as it looks one step up from very simple.

Start with PG/VG/Nic base of your choice.
* 10% Vanilla Custard - Cappela
* 6% Caramel - Cappela
