I wanted to post in appropriate trend, but because I had duplicate ids, my older one got removed, and this one will not let me post there.
here is what I think: the way I read AD-1500, it will allow B&M to place online orders for e-cigs and juices only if they are licensed to sell tobacco products. But e-cigs and it's parts are in no way tobacco products. Isn't it determined on Federal level if a product is a certain product is a tobacco product? If I remember correctly FDA attempted to regulate e-cigs and failed. I see potential for AD-1500 to lose in courts even if it is passes.

I believe it is AB 1500 but I have been unable to find the actual text of the bill.

What I read? I believe it pertains to mailing to private addresses in CA when the order is placed via the internet. Which would put us at the mercy of the B&M's.

The theory/excuse is to keep these things out of the hands of children.

The truth is that they estimate $25 million in additional tax revenue.

I doubt it would affect licensed dealers, but again, I haven't seen the actual text.

Well, I stocked up on DIY.

I doubt they will get flavorings, but they are clearly after juices and probably nic:

(e) For the purposes of this section, “electronic cigarette” or “e-cigarette” means a device designed to look like a cigarette, cigar, pipe, or other smoking device, or any other nicotine delivery device that is used for the purpose of creating a vapor inhaled by the user, including cartridges, accessories, or liquids used with the device.

This will result in higher prices for all California adults. They will be as successful with kids as they have been with cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs.

Main goal is obviously the $25 million in tax revenue and more power for the government.
