FDA Ban

Hello everyone,

I was a smoker for 27 years and attempted to quit most of that time. Because I never quit tying to quit, I found e-cigs. Only after a couple of days of receiving my first PV I quit smoking. I am still amazed at how effective these devices are.

Countries are now starting to ban e-cigs and the FDA is not giving up on the ban of e-cigs in the US. September 1st is when the federal court case of the e-cig plantiffs vs FDA is scheduled to start arguments before the appeals court in Washington DC. If you haven't done so yet, sign the petition by copying and pasting the address below (I'm too new to post links). At least 10,000 votes needed.

Thank You.

The FDA wants to ban these and yet they just approved the contined use of "AVANDIA". A drug thst is used by some diabetics - ooopppsss did I mention that the FDA as know since 2007 or there abouts that this drug can cause heart attacks.

We want a healthier way to smoke and/or quit smoking and because we do not have the big money to "PROVE" that e-cigs work! The FDA wants to ban them.

With some of the drugs that the FDA does approve . . . you really wonder which is worse the disease or the cure. Hmmmmm . . . .

Your electronic signature was received,

Yeah, I can see them flipping out in the short run with losing gobs and gobs of tax bux. But in the long run, won't the total savings be better for everybody cause we're not spending bookoo dollars on health care?

Living longer: still paying taxes
or
dieing sooner: paying taxes to do that - cost of health care

You are fooling yourself if you think they want to save money on health care. Think of all the jobs both in research, patient care, and lab work that would be lost. Not to mention the billions of dollars made by researching drugs etc....The government makes more money if we all get cancer....they don't want us to be healthy. They just kinda play around the idea so we think thats what we're getting

I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
Yea, and they approved Ambien to treat Insomnia, yet it causes sleepwalking and even SLEEPDRIVING with amnesia afterwards. I know someone who has a bad reaction to it...good thing he doesn't have a car. lol Really amazing they would allow something so obviously hazardous, not just to the user of the drug, but anyone within driving distance, yet they want to ban the e-cig. Truely absurd! The FDA should be banned!

I took Chantix for awhile and although it did reduce my craving for nicotine it also made me feel very odd. I quit taking it. Read up on the stories where it has caused suicides, murders, and ruined people's lives. Yet it is still legal and they want to ban e-cigs? If the tobacco industry and the pharmaceutical companies want to ban it, and the AMA is demanding control over it - e-cigs must work. But we already knew that. Call your federal officials office or send them a note via their website. It is the only way to stop the corruption. Any less action on our part is a sad statement on ourselves.
