Californians - Here is the correct news story out of Sacramento

Sorry I had the wrong link yesterday but this one is correct (aired last night). They briefly touch on SB 882 at the end stating that Corbett's bill is to "prohibit sales to minors". Hopefully the amendments to the bill are being correctly portrayed as that is not how the bill reads at this time.

Incidentally they are asking people to write in and share their e-cig experiences. Being that this station is in the heart of Corbett's district it sure couldn't hurt!

It was a decent story. But it was weird when they showed the vial of crystals (flavoring?) while talking about nicotine. It made it look as if he purchased a crystallized nicotine to put in his e-cig...

In the almost 2 years of watching these reports, this is by far the most fair and accurate news report I have ever watched.

I couldn't agree more! I've never used them but I'm assuming they were those menthol crystals. Made the guy look like he had a crack vial or something! All in all though I was impressed to see a fairly balanced news story though and am extremely happy to see it from a station within Corbett's district. Hopefully lots and lots of her voters are watching and learning that electronic cigarettes are not a kin to satan-sticks. (Hopefully the news I've been hearing about the bill being amended to prevent usage by minors and not banning them is correct too)

Write the station and your local officials. All of us around here have our letters in to Simitian as well as many others!

So the news states "to minors". The Politician changed a bill from "eVehicles" to banning eCigs if I recall correctly. We may want to follow... I wish I had more time!

It's still on the website as wanting to make e-cigs a drug. Someone said that they are going to take that out, but we'll see.

They seem to be getting more comments right on their blog below the story than on the Facebook page. I personally found the FB page to be a place where our comments may just get lost (not to mention a hassle to find where to post) so I posted directly on the news station website. You have to register but it's free and quick.
