I actually find very, very few similarities between my PV and cigarettes. So its not an electronic cigarette in my mind. It is absolutely a vaporizer.
I still personally think they are more similar to a hookah than they are a cigarette. Vast flavor choices, large construction, involves glass on some delivery systems, they both vaporize (when a hookah is properly setup there should be no combustion of shisha and very little to no smoke from the coal entering the user) etc. But even then I'm not going to call it an e-hookah.
Though cigs and PVs both share nicotine and in some instances a similar form factor, it doesn't really help for my mind to connect the two. Cigs and dip are not the same, but they are both nicotine delivery systems.
But even after all of that, when somebody asks what mine are, I will always say e-cigarette. Its easier for the un-knowledgeable to follow. And generally calms them down from thinking its illicit.
