Urgent Notice: We have just learned that the public hearing on Local Law "G" for 2010 for Albany County is NOT actually scheduled for Tuesday July 27, as previously thought. Both the resolution calling for a public hearing on the proposed law, and the proposed law itself, are on the agenda to be considered by the Health Committee of the Albany County Legislature, at its committee meeting on Wednesday, July 28.

They allow the public to attend, but not to speak, at committee meetings. If the committee passes the resolution to hold a public hearing on the proposed law, an actual date for it will be set, but we were informed it would definitely not be before sometime in August.

We will report developments and details on this as soon as we learn them.
