what do you do with your pv while on the work site? i have a vamo that i use with a single 18350 and tank when i'm out and about. with all the moving around i do, putting in my pocket isnt practical, nor is leaving it in a random spot on site. i would like to have a way to keep it on my person without risk to damaging it, and a lanyard around my neck is not an option, i would rather not hang myself. so has anyone come up with something, or found a case from something else to be useful?

Kind of off-topic but what kind of tank are you using?

If the outer diameter of the tank is smaller that the Vamo's outer diameter you can put your Vamo in 'tough mode' as i call it.

As you can see with the protank 1, when youre running in 18350 mode, install the protank beauty ring, then install the PT, now take the extra tube and put it on top where the top cap normally is and put back on the top cap.

Like this the glass on the tank is completely covered, the tank itself is supported by not only the PT beauty ring but also the tube around it. Keep the unit off and put a piece of tape over you display and it should be toolbelt/pocket safe.

How about a flashlight-type holster?

this is something i was looking into, the one for my mini maglight is a tad too small in diameter. guess i'll have to go holster shopping.

as far as putting it in my tool pouch, i have way too much in there now as it is between nails, screws, square, pencils, etc. it would just be one more thing collecting chalk dust and saw dust, not very tasty.

This one would theoretically work:
$2.13 X-Power Nylon Flashlight Holster (Black) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The main issue you have is the overall length of the vamo and tank combined (still dont know what tank you use).

This unit has a main pouch and a side holder, its a bit too short to accomodate a whole assembled vamo/tank, but the 18350 Vamo will fit in the main holster with the tank stored in the side pocket (originally for extra battery). Not ideal but would allow you to carry it easily, just have to slap the tank on to vape. Other issue may be getting crud in the tank, but a condom (e-cig kind, lol) over the mouthpiece of the tank will solve that.

depends on the juice, sometimes i'll have a dct or an iclear30. i'd really like to find a way to have it assembled as most times i get a few moments when my hands are free and would like to just take a couple drags and be on my way. right now, i try to put it somewhere out of harms way, but then i wind up either a floor or 100's of feet away and it's not practical to leave what i'm doing to get to my pv.

when i smoked, i always had a pack in my pocket and 2 packs on the dash in my truck. free moment, light up and continue working with my cig in my mouth. if i crushed the pack in my pocket, i could go to the truck and get another.

as far as the work i do, it envolves everything from footing to the roof. when i'm doing finish carpentry, it's easy to place my pv somewhere, as i'm always back and forth from my miter box. if i'm running the back hoe to dig a footing, i can pop it in the cup holder. but times when i'm framing or up on pump jacks, i need a convenient, safe place for my pv.

Ya I can see that. I'm a tinner so I don't too dusty and it does OK in my belt. When I'm roughing in, it goes in my bag. I picked up some little Ego batts for work. A Vision 450 with a Kanger MiniT3. It's only 5 1/2' long, pretty durable, and Two batteries gets me thru the day.

I dressed up like the construction guy in the village people does that count?

But did you stay at a holiday inn express last night?

You realize every time we like one of his wisecracks it only encourages him, don't you :)

(on the other hand, it's fun getting a chuckle out of these!)

I got tired of snapping eGos in half in my pocket and got a Billet Box. Size of a pack of smokes, practically indestructible. I did snap a drip tip off one, but I switched to steel and it's been running perfectly ever since. It's not cheap, but it's about the most rugged mod around. The shape means it fits well in many generic camera or phone holsters, if you don't want it in your pocket.
