Sitting here, letting the mind wonder, and reviewing some threads and i came up with two idea's, both would be literally free as i have the software sitting here not doing a darn thing, and this is going to be a huge under taking, but i need the whole communities help here;

Idea # 1 : Seeing as from n00b to well seasoned vet on up to the elders (mods), everyone has something to offer, so i was thinking about making a magazine....it could be 20 pages long or 150, it could be jokes, real stories, things you heard from a friend of a friend, tips and tricks, what have you. Primarily it will be offered via PDF, but for those that have a ereader then it could be converted to pretty much any popular format (except kindle! due to licensing agreements, the coding is far beyond anything i could use legally) the name of the magazine is to be announced

On this i was wondering the following:
~would anyone want to be the "head" of a certain section? ~would anyone like to be a once and awhile contributor? ~should it have supplier ad's? (take a sigh of relief dear suppliers, there is no charge, and no hidden agenda in this) ~would it be monthly? ~bi-monthly? ~who would like to take the seat of S.I.C (second in command) ~and who would like to be the "proofer"? ChellyNelly is onboard for S.I.C/final production editor

IDEA # 2: Following the lines of the same softwear i have (and this idea is HUGE!), the publishing would be free (for online), and i will personally undertake the deal on Amazon......but how about "e-cigarette's for n00bs"? (just the for dummies series)

So there you go are the idea's.....so what say the entire community? you game?

~and now, so as there is no more 4:30am sleep posts i am going to rest....don't ask lol~

I could totally proofread and edit something like this. I'm a grammar Nazi and I love words :D
I had you in mind for this :D you are now second in command/ final production editor :D

Now we just need to get more people on board for the monthly article sections, and people who want to write for it once and awhile, oh and we would need readers........and a name too :D

Neat idea! I'm not really experienced yet (only about a month of vaping under my belt) but I would totally read it!! Maybe we could do a compilation of new posts/reviews to create sections for tips and tricks? And people could write in public vaping stories/conversion of smoker stories etc... I wonder if ECF would sponsor something like this?

I've written a few articles on ecigs that I've published online and I've done a lot of writing for other people's websites, so I have some experience with that. I've vaped for 3 years now and worked in an ecig retail store for a year so I have experience dealing with new vapers.

I'd be happy to help out wherever was needed.

This is an awesome idea and coming together nicely it seems :) We need someone too who's good with digital media and could make a pretty periodical out of all content. You could actually make money off of this. I would pay to get a periodical about vaping. I love the written word. The possibilities here are endless!

I love the idea! If I had the time or the ability to write, I'd contribute. I'd love to read it, though!

Seeing as the Idea is coming together, you have lots of time :D The article can be about anything you want, be it jokes or point of view.....:D (hint hint :p)

Why not write about how you went from the stix to vaping? never know, if the e-zine was offered then maybe a smoker would read it and gain courage from your story to try? Like i said....young or old, just starting or seasoned vet, everyone brings something unique to the community to allow it to grow. never sell yourself short! Seeing as this is all going to be 100% from creating, putting together, and offering (all on volunteer time) there is no need to :D But thank you, i will PM joker and see if there is something he or the mods would like to contribute for us

I'd love to be on board somehow. A few people have told me that I have a flair for the written word. The only problem with that is that I would need a lot more experience in vaping to actually be able to make a significant contribution, knowledge-wise. Perhaps a column from a noob's perspective?

you bet mike! you and squish could get together....for the "get off your butts" section

Thank you very much! just write what every comes to mind, and let it go from there :D Media for the Mass is a good thing :D

I'd be down. Literature bachelor here if you ever need me.
I could actually translate stuff for our french friends (i know there are quite a few), like the most interesting articles and such...

ACES! coming from a french family i know nothing of the language, and google translate would be like reading chinglish! again i have to say if you want to write something, then please do!

There is a lot of digital printers here, so would need to check what the cost would be, then get together to the contributors and find out what would be a decent cost. For now though, want to see how well the premier issue does, and how far it goes :D

For the name of this, and then lets start with write and getting together, i was thinking why not call it "Vape on" or "tooting along" or lastly 5/10

Thanks for the responses :D

ChellyNelly you broke an Internet record: You've demonstrated Godwin's law in the smallest amount of posts possible on a forum thread! Just kidding ;)

Seeing as i had to go look that one up, then reading it i have to agree with you....for those like me that do not know (as per wiki)

Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies[1][2]) is an observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990[2] that has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[2][3] In other words, Godwin observed that, given enough time, in any online discussion—regardless of topic or scope—someone inevitably criticizes some point made in the discussion by comparing it to beliefs held by Hitler and the Nazis.
