three ideas to share
1. the Iolite WISPR...?
I mention this mostly because the folding mouthpiece might be an idea to borrow from - i don't think i'd want to
vape from an iolite, and don't think i'd want this long of a mouthpiece, but i do like the fold-down design.
If a soft crush-able or bend-able drip-tip - or just a piece of medical grade tubing as a drip-tip, could be folded down that might provide the dust protection you're seeking
kind of hand-held size, with a folding silicone mouthpiece...but iolite's provide too much TH, don't they?
or what if a battery connector/atty/DT were JB Welded onto a piece of tubing, just as the hinge, and when folded down the drip tip touched a wall to prevent dust entering...?

USB drive - this sliding mechanism looks simple to make - don't know how it applies, but
good ideas for how to glue on layers of stuff, and the slide looks dead easy (don't know how to protect the open end tho, except perhaps a spring hinged lid that opens when you slide it out)
I like the light in the window, even tho it's just the back-end of the usb drive

3. ...and, last idea to share - if a crush-able/fold-able drip-tip were used, it might fit under the cap of something like this, which might hold a
900mah li-po cell
tubing could fold under dust cap to prevent leaks out tip, or perhaps clip down along the top edge like in the WISPR, providing additional chip space under the lid
that's not the site i first saw the 900mah on - the other one came with a charging circuit board for 30 some bucks
