Dear Fellow Vapers, do you all think that some of the top hot spots that some of us are getting could be caused by the negative connection on the bottom of the coil not making good contact? Im not really that experienced at this genny thing that much. I am getting better and the hotspots on the top coil are coming fewer and fewer, but just wondering if the negative connection could be part of our problems with these hotspots. THANX ALL Ron R

I think that a lot of the top hot spots are caused by the tightening of the top nuts. It tends to pull the wire closer to the wick at the top - not fact, just MHO. Another thing I have noticed, at least on the DID type clones, anyway, is that the center pin 'floats' up and down depending on the device its used on. That is, if height of the center pin of the device varies from device to device the pin tends to move up or dowm - and so does the wire.

I try to keep my Genesis device on the same device I wrap it on, just for that reason.
