Can a nasty flavor foul a clearomizer?

I use a Vision Nano clearomizer. I tried a tobacco flavor I didn't like at all so I dumped it out and filled with a menthol I like. I went thru a tank so far and I can still taste that nasty flavor. Is this clearomizer fouled?

From what i have learnt from reading several posts on ECf is that you're supposed to use an atty with a driptip, to test out new flavours.
