Can a PV determine how leaky an atomizer is?

I'm just curious. I only own 3 pvs right now and 3 atomizers. One is a standard joyetech 510 and the other 2 are 1.5ohm Cisco 306. I have been dripping on my pt and lavatube and have been experiencing more leaking from an Atty than I ever have. It seems like I can't put 2 drops onto a dry atomizer without it leaking out of the side.

So I got my alpha in and was kind of reluctant to use an atomizer with it since it doesn't have a juice well. To my surprise those same atomizers that leaked and leaked and leaked on my lava tube and 510pt don't leak at all on this thing. In my days use I have had a pretty much 50/50 split of dripping and using cartos and instead of having to wipe out my juice well every 10 minutes I was surprises to see no mess when using either of my 306 attys.

Has anyone experienced anything similiar? Are some mods more prone to leaking than others or did I just happen to get a magical alpha sent to me?

Also Its not the juice I was using.

The mods have nothing to do with it. The problem is coming from the atomizers itself. They are the only determining factor if it leaks or not. Since your having issues with your 306's. It might be a good time for you to get an adapter so that you can use them in a drip shielf. Or get yourself one of those DCA's.

Also, might be a good idea to clean your atomizers as well. Did you debridge them? Since that might play a role as well since the atomizer won't be able to hold as much liquid as it did before. Also, you have to feed them more often because of it.

One of my 306 attys is debridged and the other is just dewicked. I have used both on my LT and they both leak like crazy. It throw them on my alpha and dont change my dripping habits and get no leaks. I am not an over dripped. I usually drip 2-3 drops and cape it until I almost get dry atty taste before redripping.

Also I would love a RCA but since I am only using then on my alpha now I don't really see a need for one as they are not leaking anymore. Maybe its due to the completely recessed 510 connection where as the LT has a slightly raised one.

Also as far as cleaning goes I clean my attys every night with the blow out/dry burn method. Works for me and I don't waste booze :p

It might but, even if it's recessed then there can still be leakage. I really can't understand why that would have an effect for it to stop any leaking issues. Never owned neither device so I can't comment. I do drip occasionally but, haven't noticed any leaking issues with any of my 306's thus far.

However, 306's have been documented for having leaking issues for some people. Which is probably why they use drip shields for them:

Drip Shields

I know you don't need them now but, it might come in handy when you want to use them on your LT again or another mod. Don't forget to get a 510-510 adapter with it.
