I recently started using autos again (since series one stealth & diamond's came out) so I dont know too much about them since I was only interested in learing about the manuals ect...

I dont know if its just my luck, but I have been running into this problem with the batteries alot lately.

The battery activates sometimes while it is sitting on the counter or at my desk on its own and also after an actual draw, it wont cut off when I stop vaping but goes by itself untill the 20 sec are up.

So I would draw, and hold it and notice the LED still on as if I were still drawing on it..

I was just wondering if there is a fix for this? CS is not even a concern because they always take care of me.. Just curious to know if anyone resolved this without having to exchange / return.

I know it's not recommended, so I won't recommend it either but...

I had this problem once before, and solved it with a drop of 93% isopropyl alcohol directly into the connection. Covered the connection with my finger and shook the battery. Then shook it like a thermometer until the weren't any droplets coming out and gave it about an hour to dry, although it probably didn't need that long. It worked for me, and I wouldn't try it with a weaker alcohol since I wouldn't want it to take any longer to evaporate. If you can't use the one that's sticking though, what do you have to lose by trying?

I have had 3 diamond batteries and 2 of them have had that problem. Sometimes just lighting up on their own--sitting over on the counter with no carto attached and light comes on. Like Casper is puffing away on it. I have tried the isopropyl thing and so far not working. V4L replaced one for me, but I decided no more diamonds for me. The other autos I have, have never had this problem

Thanks so much, Morandir. I have tried that also, but to no avail. I think it is posessed--maybe our home is built on an old Indian burial ground or something. And maybe being haunted by a previous smoker who is trying to vape in order to see what he missed in his living years.
Gratitude for your input---helpful ideas always appreciated.

The funny part is, that the battery doing it is the same one I got as a replacement when I went to the new office (yes, I went there but that is another story lol).

I guess I will just go back there one of these days and swap it out.. I just dont wanna bug them because they are so busy.

WOW Morandir! How do you manage to charge them? Or how many chargers do you have?
