I am trying help my dad choose the right equipment. I'm too new to vaping to help without help haha!

He is a 2 pack a day Marlboro medium smoke. I want to set him up to succeed not fail. I don't believe he could ever start out with blu as I did. I currently have a Ego-c upgrade 650 and an Ego-c Twist 1000. I haven't had my twist long but i seem to like it MUCH better than the upgrade. So I am thinking he definetlt should have two batteries and maybe the should both be twists?! As for clearomizers I don't even know where to start. I still struggle with those a lot ...flooding and such. I have a vision T ( i think), a kanger t3, and what I think are the Ce4's. I think I figure out which one I like and then it changes lol! I have a VIVI nova but it's sooo huge I haven't even tried it but have a mini on the way. Anyone have any suggestions on how to set him up? Best prices? Any starter kits with the twist? I don't even know where to orde because I bought mine locally but I'm not really have with the knowledge and customer sevice of the only local shop I know of. We have one other local vender that has a booth in a flea market but they only sell Vision and are kind of over priced. There are just so many Web store I don't know how to tell who sells genuine or knockoffs! So completly overwhelming!! I just need a kit...someone find me a kit! Haha!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE

2 Batteries, 1 Charger, and a USB/Wall Adaptor

spinnerbattery.jpg
Vision eGo Spinner or Joyetech eGo Twist variable voltage batteries.

eGocharger.jpg
eGoUSBwalladaptor_zpsdacf5c3e.jpg

Appropriate eGo charger and possibly a USB/wall unit to provide the option to charge away from a computer port.

Juice Delivery Devices: I recommend getting two types to try.

single coil cartomizers.jpg
A (5) pack of single coil cartomizers at 2.5-3.0 ohm resistance. You'll also need at least one drip tip (mouth piece) to put on the end of these.

clearomizer.jpg
A couple of clearomizers (Vision or Kanger T3) to try, or...

vivi-nova-mini.jpg

A Vision Mini Vivi Nova tank to try.

*All the above can be found at Altsmoke. AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Your one stop shop!

* Disclaimer: I provide the vendor's link only as a suggested retailer. A potential buyer can choose who and where to purchase their items wherever they wish. I have no affiliation with the suggested vendor, however they are a popular and reputable e-cig business used by many ECF members.

Juice, or e-liquid:

For e-liquid, a typical 1 pack-per-day smoker likely will need 18-24 mg nicotine.

Figure on consuming 3-5 ml of liquid daily.

Oh yeah ....one thing I hate is how big the 1000 twist is...maybe he should start out with 2 650's?!

I started with a standard 650mAh (not VV) kit and it worked just fine for me, since all I had to compare it to was cig-a-likes. I thought the batteries were huge! And then when I got 1000mAh (also not VV) I thought I had bought a weapon! My next order was a 1000mAh Twist - and not considering it would need to be bigger for the extra "twist" electronics - I opened it and squeaked "OMG! What have I done?!"

You get used to it

The 1300mah Spinner is actually shorter, and a little fatter than the 1000mah Twist. Plus you can read the markings much better on the Spinner. And longer battery life.

Here's a kit that you can actually have both! Great Vendor, one of my go-to's for hardware. Use the coupon code "5H2XT" for 10% off your purchase, good until the end of March.

I know! I look at it and think OMG this is ridiculous but then I vape on it and think well maybe I can deal with this...

Pretty soon you'll be able to stand on a street corner sucking on something that looks like a clarinet with a nipple on top and not even notice you're getting strange looks.

I still like my 650 twists. They are relegated to back up status, but they have withstood 8 months of use and are still hanging in there. They will serve your needs...for a while.

The Ocelot speaks true. Soon you will have something bigger and badder, and the vapor will be all that matters. Don't worry what they think about you. Remember, a lion does not concern himself with the opinions of the sheep!

Ok. I was a PAD for 35+ yrs, started with the blu kit, really bad idea, switch to an EgoT kit, another bad idea, tired of those little tanks, having to swap out batteries, one always on the charger. And that's one of the biggest stumbling blocks is starting to think vaping is just too much of a pain. So much easier to smoke, just worry about how many left in the pack, and a flame. Don't let him get in that mode. At two packs a day, he needs a device that's going to be there for him and work every time he needs it. I know I've been there. But I never gave up. I started vaping the beginning of this year and never looked back. So..f I may. Id like to suggest getting him an iTaste MPV. A complete kit runs $60-$70 and is guaranteed to last him all day with no hassle and having to fiddle with things. They're built really well, no need to big extra batteries it has a 2600mah battery built in. And will come complete with every thing he will need except juice. Take the time to watch a few reviews I recommended pbusardo. In tje end it will end up being the device that floats his boat. I have several devices, I don't have an MPV, But I watch my son stumble with blu cig and ego stuff and he would start buying smokes again....UNTIL I dragged him over to a vapor store and let him pick a device he got the MVP and now he's a solid vapor. No urge to smoke anymore because this thing works everytime and is hassle free. Just my humble thoughts and suggestions
