Can anyone recommend a workhorse mod ?

My innokin VTR just bit the dust. It only lasted 3 months. Prior to that I had a MVP and it too died after a short time. I've considered a Provari but I usually only deal with Canadian vendors, and the price tag is a bit scary in case it dies too. I don't need the bells and whistles, I don't care about the colour and finish or fancy electronics. I just want to get a good strong, warm vape with lots of vapour from a mod that is up to the challenge. I am a very heavy vaper. Something that I may get at least a year from ? Ideas anyone ? Thanks.

If workhorse you mean rugged and up for any challenge?

The Launcher V2 is my suggestion. Possibly the only mech mod I own (have far to many btw) that never has had a misfire. Beautifully smooth switch (no magnets required). It's telescopic, so a few battery options (kick compatible, it that's your thing).

Did I also mention...built to last a nuclear winter.

So it looks like you have had experience with cheaper mods all ready
They really don't last and are hardly worth the cheap price tag that comes with them :(
If you vape at less than 15 watts a Provari is a Really good choice It is truly a quality piece of equipment
I to am Canadian and would like to support Canadian business But as soon as you buy from a Canadian website You pay 13% HST
If You keep an eye on the provape web site a lot of times they have Blems for a reduced price and there for the most part perfect specimens
Here's an example on there site now you choice of a Full size or Mini for 160.00
http://www.provape.com/category-s/37.htm
I managed to get 2 for 150.00 each in the past Could not find a defect with either one and they serve me well
In the long run A Provari is the best deal It will last a long time and serve you well as mine have done for me
If you have you mind set to use a Canadian dealer even at much higher prices
This is a Canadian Site that sells Provari
KICK ASH VAPES

Reo is another good choice, but it's in the same price range as the Provari. I have both and I don't feel I will ever need to buy another mod, but that doesn't mean I won't. My Provari is 1 1/2 yrs. old and still looks and performs like the day I bought it. My Reo was bought off the classifieds and must be 2 yrs. old because it's a VV Reo Grand. It also works flawlessly and that makes me one happy vaper.

Funny that you have brought this up :)

The other night I was sitting here looking at my old beat up SID, and wondering why I was still using it after all the time I have had it. Simple answer was that it still worked. I have broken numerous tanks, clearos and drip tips from all the dropping it has undergone - including one trip into a manure pile. Reminds me of the old timex commercial "It took a licking, but kept on ticking".

Originally bought it from Canvape for $57, over a year ago, and they now sell it for $39.95. For the $40 it costs, I don't think you are going to do better :)

Sounds great - but trying to get one in the UK it is often $ = £. Bad deal, sadly. :(

A Reo is a great Mod I have 2 of them and love'm But from His post The OP mite not be a rebuilder With a Provari you can use a Nautilus or Protank or what he was using all ready with a Reo there is no choice but to build your own

No, I have a Reo and don't have an RDA for it yet. I've been using disposable atomizers, which work very well. They can be rinsed out when changing flavors and are not very expensive, considering they hold up for a week or more. Then when it's time to replace it, just screw it out and screw another one in. That's why the Reo has become my favorite device to use when I'm away from home.

Sentinel m16 clone in brass. The most rugged thing I own and only cost 16 bucks

+1 on this...amid the Reo and ProVari talk. I put magnets in my M16 switch and now its flawless. This one will be around long after the others have broken or worn out. Little voltage drop, solid. Best mech I have.....at least until my Mutant arrives.

e-lvt. Like the MVP - but you stick an 18650 battery in it. Charges via usb. When the battery dies, you put a new one in. Voila! :)

Loving on my E-lvt I'm clumsy, vape constantly, and have a sweaty, messy, bruise inducing job and it's up to the task.
I might get a provari someday if I get a few promotions and all the music gear I want, buy a house, put in a indoor 1500gal heated pond for breeding amazonian rays, and some other minor things... ;)

I mostly use mechanical 18650 Avenger Telescopic Mechanical Mod with a Kayfun Lite. I run a 7amp fuse in it but there is room for a kick if you wanted one. I also run a Smok Magnito in 18650. Keep my ohms up around 1.4 to 1.6 and run at least 20amp batteries. Their is very little to wrong or break. CHEERS!
