I brought two 30 mil sweet e-liquids last Oct. I followed directions to steep. I waited til now to try them while I built up my vaping equipment. The samples I didn't have any problems but when using the 30 mil, I tasted green olives. I tried them with my T3's, Mini Nova, and my zatty pro all on a provari. I then cleaned all of them in vodka but didn't do any good. Could it be the voltage too high or two low maybe? Hate to throw away expensive e-liquids but as of now, what else can I do?

I believe they can funk, yeah. I had one bottle of flavoring, but not juice, I hucked, I think it was in all VG. It developed a bloom or cloud of stuff inside it that wasn't there when I ordered it. I think it's good to throw stuff out with an eye to keeping it about a year, maybe a bit longer, then chuck it. I expect PG and nicotine would help make things last longer though. Keeping everything not contaminated and good procedures in place when you mix things/pour/carry things is the best though.

This is one area where our excellent consumer-regulation hasn't ventured (so far as I know). I'd really like someone capable to check out what actually (not just speculatively) happens to the structure of juice - during 'steeping' and over long periods of time. Unless someone has?

Thanks for your input regarding juice. No wonder I couldn't find infor on this. Perhaps people who brought theirs found it hard enough to wait for the steeping to finish, let alone a few months.

I'm curious as well.

What happens to VG over time? I have a gallon of it that has been sitting around for oh.... a year at least I'd guess. I just tried to cut down some juice with it, and I get an odd, almost oily kind of texture/flavor in the vape. I know vg and PG differ but I vaped this VG straight when I first got it, just to make sure it tasted OK and everything, which it did at the time, now it's "off" to me.

Anyone relate, or know what's going on? It was so bad I had to quickly vape another juice to get the flavor out of my mouth.

I buy my PG & VG in bulk... I've finished making 50%-50% batch using PG/VG that's close to year old. Looks and tastes like it did when I bought it.
Odds are its one of the flavoring that isn't standing the test of time.

Not sure if that was a reply to me or the OP, it was very relevant to both.

Seeing as you have aged VG without issue, can you think or any reason my VG would have "turned" I kept it in the original white plastic gallon drum that it came in, I was starting to think that plastic leached into the VG or something, seeing as the off flavor I'm getting is an odd oily, almost plasticy flavor. This is just straight VG so nothing else to spoil, it's "Superol" Veg Glycerine from Proctor and Gamble if that helps!

Thanks, and sorry to the OP for the slight thread-hijack/diversion!

It wasn't directed directly at anyone. Just me putting my 2 pennies out there...
Not sure why there would be a difference in how our two stockpiles aged differently.
I get both my PG & VG from Essentials Depot. Both are labeled as "USP - Kosher - Food Grade" and are packaged in, what appears to be, clear(ish) LDPE plastic bottles.

Here's a pic of the two new bottles that just came in...
