Hi folks,

New to e-cigs and new to the forum, and loving the e-cig experience. After two days of e-cigs I smoked my last tobacco product, and have had no cravings or ill effects, and noticed my sense of smell is growing sharper (not always a good thing).

I started with the VIP Executive Starter kit (cartomizer), but would like to plug a tank onto it. The original clearomizer looks like the same fitting as the cartomizers, but I can't find any definiticve information as to whether it would be compatible. Since I have two of the original batteries I'd hate to waste them. Can anyone state categorically whether the original clearmizer will fit these batteries?

Thanks in advance.

Those cig-a-like batteries probably aren't strong enough to power a tank. You would probably need an adapter as well. I would suggest getting an eGo Twist 1000mAh and put a Mini Vivi Nova on it. Use your current as a back up.

That's the one.

And thanks for the replies all. I honestly never thought much about the power of the battery, I simply looked at the fitting. Now you mention it, that is likely to be the stumbling block. I can't find any information regarding the power of these batteries.

Perhaps a trip into town is in order to see what the guys there can come up with. Tank for private use, and cig lookalike for when I'm out in company standing around the windy shed with the smokers (so that I can blend in at least a little).

Actually you have one of the most reputable vendors nearby and very highly regarded by UK vapers. I'd suggest this Starter Kit:

Thank you, Vapoor. As it happens, I had my last day at my old job today and start a new one on Thursday. I'll be driving over to Bolton some time tomorrow to visit the new place (and acquant myself with it's location), so I could detour coming back home and see what they can offer. Do you know if they have a visitor counter?

There is no sense to spend money on a Chinese garbage.

I believe he is open for customers off the street otherwise he wouldn't list his address and I do know he's very approachable and carries quality gear. The beauty of that kit is it has clearomizers and cartomizers and is 1100 mah- 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge needed. Here's a review on the Kgo which is identical to the Riva- standard eGo fires @ 3.4 volts, Riva fires @ 3.7 volts and there is a noticeable diff- gives you an idea of the size:

Good Luck with your new job

OK - I'm convinced. I should stop worrying so much about blending in and get on with the business of not smoking (I loved the guy in the video, by the way, not obviously funny but with a hidden humour knocking about). I'll definitely pay them a visit tomorrow and see what I come home with. I'd rather be a vaping convert than an ex-smoker - it's much easier and healthier.

And thanks for the good wishes re' the job. The situation was forced on me (redundancy) but my interview was held in a pub over a pint, and everyone that knows reckons it's a good place to work.

Best place for an interview  After 5 posts wait 1 hr for the ECF servers to reset and you can post in the UK Forum Actually ECF may seem American but it was started by a UK Vaper. PBusardo, the reviewer, is very well known and I enjoy his vids. Cheers and best of luck.

Just be forewarned...the clearos that come with the Kit are not rebuildable- with washing and dry burning each one should last 3? weeks at least....I did it once and it was tough. Get your kit and decide whether you like the cartos or the clearos. If you decide you like clearos we can find you a quality rebuildable.
Cheers.

Oh, then I better get my 5th post in - Oh look, I just did, lol

I use the Vivi Nova tank but occasionally enjoy a carto. My cartos in a tank last before tight draw:
light juice- 80-90 ml
dark juice- 50-60 ml
Without a tank a carto should last about 1 week.
Darker juices and high VG juices clogs up delivery devices quicker. As for the batteries each battery is good for about 300 charge cycles.

As an aside question, what are the risks with recharging carts with e-liquid? I know that there's a limited number of times it can be done, but are there any problems besides wastage?

Well, I bit the bullet, drove over and bought this: Vape Escape Vision 1000 Ultimate £59.99 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - VE Vision 1000 Ultimate Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

He threw in some liquid for me, went through the filling process and gave me the prices of replacement atomisers etc. Very personable and friendly chap, and I have to say, it's much much better than the VIP e-cig. Smoother taste all round, and plenty of battery to get me through a day.

The only thing now is that I feel like I'm smoking an opium pipe or something, lol. I'll probably get some funny looks in the local, too, but c'est la vie :)

Hello & welcome Roken :)

Vapoor eye er is right, Vape escape is a very highly regarded UK vendor. And yes, they do have a visitor counter where you can try different e-liquids & have a look at everything they sell. If you go for a Riva or ego, it will knock the spots off your VIP e-cig.
