In desperation, when I had finished all of the prefilled cartos from my starter kit and was awaiting an order of ejuice, I made up a very small batch using what I had: vg, distilled water and artificial vanilla extract, and refilled a couple of my cartos. Bad news, there was no nic and therefore, no throat hit. Good news, tons of vapour and lots of flavour! It held me over during the 2 days that I was waiting for my parcel!

Edited to add: Keep in mind that adding vanilla will dilute your mix...so, it will lower the nic strength and may also affect the vapour (unless you also add a bit of vg).

The flavorings used by those who make their own juices is much more concentrated than extracts found at grocery stores. The brand you can find locally is Lorann's super concentrated. I've found them at Hobby Lobby. I don't know what part of Ohio you're from, but where I am we have Discount Drug Mart drug stores and I bought a bunch there. I paid $1.99 for two little bottles that are enough to flavor around 60ml of e-liquid.

I tried using vanilla extract to get some extra flavor in some juice at one point but it was going to take so much of it that I gave up because I didn't want to cut my nic level in half. Also, some have things you probably don't want to put in your atomizer because it'll plug it up. Anything with oils in it is bad.

ive been using imitation vanilla in my diy juice. i take a teaspoon of van and add a few drops of vg and pg. then i boil off the water in the imitation van. when it stops boiling and steaming all the water is gone. then add more vg and pg and you have good juice. the water boils long before the vg/pg does. has worked very well soo far. but im still off to hobby lobby to see what they got. if you look online there is a 40 percent off coupon for hobblobb . makes stufff CHEAP

Maybe it is just your tatesbuds changing -- I've had days where it seems no flavor and times where everything is just plain sweet. Or, could be atty and/or battery is wearing out? I'm still working it all out myself. Sometimes just upping the nic level helps the flavor---strange perhaps, but seems true for me.

Okay. went to the candy store and got the super concentrated stuff. Coffee and vanilla. Mixed 50 / 50 with my juice and i dont taste anything??

The coffee and vanilla flavorings are so dark almost black. That okay?
Hi redroush. Your story makes me raise one or two eyebrows :2cool:

Many extracts and concentrates are NOT for vaping. Concentrates with oil may prove ill for your health, since the human lungs have no function to secrete the oil, once it's down there. The reason why you don't serve (pea)nuts to toddlers and small kids.
And - the mix you have, and the coloring, doesn't sound right.... :?: Don't use it, imo.

To be fully safe, visit a website that have DYI-equipment on the list.
A list of supplier can be found here. Five to fifteen percent of flavour in the mix should do it - depending on the flavour. It's easy to add somne more flavour - it's much more difficul to take it out :)
Vanilla and/or coffee are good "blenders" for almost everything.

Good luck.
