Can I buy two single 18650 batteries and use it together into dual mod? or if I have to buy two together. I'm sorry for the silly question, I am kinda new of vaping and I just wanna make sure everything I do its safe.

There are no silly questions when it comes to batteries. Using the right battery is crucial to safety.

What's important is that you buy two identical batteries and use them as a matched pair, (referred to by vapers as a married set). That way they charge together and discharge together. That allows them to experience the same load every time and stay matched with each other.

Mooch is our battery guy here on ECF and several other forums. His opinion on batteries developed through his strenuous stress testing is highly regarded and followed. Pick any battery he rates at 20A and higher and you will be happy with them. Vape time is dependent on MAH ratings. The AMP ratings tell you how much current the battery can safely handle. Spend some time at the link below for a good basic battery primer.

Tell us more about the mods you use and the wattage you vape at and we can recommend a good battery for that application.

wouldnt when you buy them be important? i mean if youve got two batteries and one is a year or two older than the other, wouldnt that play a role? or does the fact that theyre both brand new negate the age of the cell?

Yes. Batteries degrade over time even if you don't use them.

Yes batteries degrade over time. No you wouldn't want to buy one, wait two years then buy another and then marry them. I worded my reply the way I did because OP sounded like he thought they needed to be bought in a matched pair from the same shop.
