Also don't fill all your fluid holding devices--i.e carto's, tanks, atty's and bottles completely full, as liquid will expand with pressure and could possibly leak everywhere. I would keep your pv and batteries in one plastic bag by itself, and then your tanks and fluids in another bag that is inside of a second bag. Just a precaution to keep everything as clean as possible.

I just came back from Vegas, flew out from chicago midway. I had no problems going through security. I took one of my devices with me and dissembled it and put in it's carrying case and had one bottle of e juice in a ziploc bag. I just laid it out in the bin with the rest of my stuff and went through security. I put all my other gear in my checked bag. no problems.

Just flew back on USAir, in the magazine, they specifically state you cannot use ecigs. I had no problem with security at either end (Philadelphia - Minneapolis). I did go into the rest room to vape half way through, blew the vapor into my sweater. Since I am here typing, I didn't get caught. I put my juices into one ziplock bag, the rest of my kit went into my carry on. No problems what so ever.

I've flown several times with gear. Technically you are supposed to carry on all li-ion batteries. They are not supposed to be in checked baggage. I just make sure that everything is separated and in plastic ziplock bags whether it's in my carry on or checked bags (I usually have it in both). I don't vape on the plane BECAUSE I've never had an issue with taking my stuff through security and I want to keep it that way. Nobody hassles you about it right now, but all of these people giggling because they do it onboard are the reason that you will be hassled about taking it in the future. Don't give them a reason to start being a**holes to us.

What do you mean "start"? I've been in and out of almost every airport in every major city since I started vaping and had no problem until I hit Rapid City, SD. The young guy at the x-ray machine decided I had a knife in my carry on. Turned out to be a disassembled auto battery. Stupid is as stupid does.

Speak to the person at check in before you go through security. I wouldn't do it on a plane unless you are catching a redeye, and even then it may not be worth the fuss depending on your flight length. You dont want to end up on CNN...

I take mine with me in my carryon all the time, security never gives me trouble. I personally wouldn't recommend doing it on a plane unless you are keeping vapor to a minimum and are generally out of sight.

^This is a good point, I had liquid in both of my clearo's, both leaked a couple drops into the mouthpiece. I flew into Philadelphia through Detroit from Grand Rapids Last week Wednesday. I was super nervous going through security, had my ego in the box I bought it in with the clearos attached and 2 18mL bottles of liquid in a separate baggy that I laid out in the tub with my shoes and stuff. Lady asked if that was it, told her yes and went the rest of the way through security without and issue, officers never even batted an eye at me after that. I'll see what the people at PHL do next week Monday when I go to fly back.
