How do these batteries work, is it bad to charge them before they are all the way dead?

Hmm interesting, I figured it was good to give it a full cycle. Live and learn I guess 
I believe it depends on battery composition. Some types of batteries like to keep a high charge all the time, others need full cycling (run them dead, then charge them fully) to last a long time.
Twists use lithium ion batteries, so it is beneficial to charge them before they are dead. It actually extends their life to do so. It's all about DoD (Depth of Discharge). Read this - How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries - Battery University
I usually get about 6-7hours off a 650mah and ill charge it definetly before the light blinks, if the lights blinking then i wouldnt push it anymore as its basically telling you to stop using it just like a iphone would tell you at 20% hey its getting low and then it drains QUICK
Whew good thing I read this, I always assumed the full cycle was healthy! So charging between uses on a 400mah would not be a bad idea at all? I have gone outside for a good walk and vape on my break at work and had the light blink on my first hit.... FAIL lol.
Lithium Batteries don't have a memory like Nicad. So it's Ok to charge them before totally running out.
From what I've read, charging the battery at 1/2 or a little lower will extend the life of the battery.
When the lithium batteries are overly discharged this is bad for them.
