Can I clean/rinse pre-made coils so I can switch my e-juice flavor?

Hello, I have a eGo ONE and I just emptied my tank and I want to re-fill it with a different flavor of e-juice. Can I just rinse the coil with tap water?

I've never used that particular device but I always just refilled with a different flavor and that seemed to work. Some people clean them with water but you would need to let it dry for a while.

Tap water has a lot of chemicals in it , like calcium, fluoride, etc... It can't be good for the coils. I've seen where vodka has been used, but you'd have to let it dry before refilling. I'd never use tap water.


Edit: I would use distilled water, but that would just be my preference. (my vodka is for another purpose)

I use tap water all the time. No issues. Denture tabs, alcohol, all work well.

Vodka and let dry for several like (6) hours has worked well for me with other stock coil heads. Have no experience with the Ego-One.

What kind of coils are you using? I have Kanger 1.8 ohm duals and I wash and soak them in water. Then dry burn them, wash and soak them again if they are giving me burnt hits. Switching flavors I just rinse them in water for about 5 min, make SURE they are dry and put in the new flavor. If I'm in a hurry I just clean them with a dry paper towel and that works too but it's not as effective. I do find it necessary to clean my coils and tank if I am switching flavors, because many of mine do tend to linger.

I wouldn't recommend water either because i actually ruined a coil by using that method. So now i just do what Box Mod Lyfe said, empty the tank and refill with another juice and start vaping. It will take a few puffs for the coil to absorb the new flavor, but at least you won't risk ruining the coil completely.
