Hi all
I'm flying to China on Monday and I want to take my e-cigs in check-in luggage (not in cabin luggage).
But I am thinking about legal status of e-cigs in China.
I know that it is banned in Hong Kong but what about north of China?
Did anybody fly recently to China with e-cigs?

I don't think there should be a problem, but I haven't done it myself. However, all the PV hardware manufactured is actually made in China, so I cannot imagine it would be illegal.

I went to China last October and will go again in April.

I took a load of e-cigs. Only ones with Cartomizers, so I did not have to drip.
It went through all check points and customs without issue. One asked if I had a bunch of pens in my briefcase...LOL. (Kept a big load of carts and batts in my checked bag)

I am a bad boy since I vaped in the bathroom on the plane and did not come close to setting any alarms off. I did not go crazy...

Hong Kong it's illegal. But since you can smoke in bars anyway...best to not vape. They will think it an analog and that will lead down the path of trouble...

In China, no problem at all! Legal! In bars and places like that, I had many Chinese come and ask me what the e-cig was and all wanted to try them. I gave a few away...If I only had 20 starter kits with me....

China makes them, but you can't find them there.

So go, vape and enjoy!

Thanks a lot for reply
In Poland e-cigs are new thing (since about half year), so not a lot people has experience with it.
I visit China very often (after each 2 months) for business trip since 2008 but since September 2009 smoking is not allowed in factory. Before I could smoke in smoking room but not now, so I want to vape in restroom. I think that it will be easier for me to vape when nobody see than explain everybody what this is e-cig, that it is not analog cigarette, etc.
For me is also very strange that e-cigs are made in China but I didn't see it in shops. Maybe it gov. policy but I couldn't find any official information.
Thanks again and best regards for all
