Can I Get a TH w/o the Nic?

Been vaping for about 3 wks, off analogs from day one. Currently my juice is 50/50 PG/VG, 12 mg nic, my PV is a Volt 78mm auto-battery with cartos but getting some clearomizers this wknd.

I'd like to get off the nic completely, but I really like that TH. I though I had read that nic is necessary for a good TH? Yes? No? If so, can one get a good TH w/o the nic? Are some flavors better than others for TH? Will more PG help? Any suggestions appreciated.

I vape 12mg liquid and the only ones I get a good throat hit off of is Extreme Ice (menthol/wintergreen flavor, very very good) from Mt Baker Vapor and some Mint Chocolate Chip from a vendor that can't be mentioned here. I've tried MCC from other vendors and it always has more throat hit than other flavors. You could also look into some of the cinnamon flavors such as Atomic Cinnacide from Tasty Vapor. TV sells "doublers" which are zero nic liquid for cheap. I've got some AC doubler but haven't tried vaping it to see if it has much throat hit.

You've come to the right place to find out! TH is definitely related to NIC level. I've seen an additive for extra throat hit- that might work but I have no idea whats in it(which is worrisome). If I can find that additive I'll post it. I've struggled with this too- hopefully more experienced members will have some better advice.

ok yes you need nic for th, but menthol does help fake th, and the additive that Bullcity is talking about it a menthol type additive just without the menthol taste called kooloda

yes there are, right off the top of my head I know that S&S Mods uses it. Chopper has a thread in the suppliers area for the decon, but he also has some juices. I am pretty sure others do as well.

Does kooloda add coolness? I dislike all things mint and the cooling effect of menthol, but I would like more TH as well. So can kooloda do that?

I'm wondering about just buying the kooloda and adding it myself. Definitely have to do some research on this.

I can't tell you it adds no coolness, but kooloda doesn't add the same taste of mint or menthol.

This is a little confusing. Are you saying it's a good TH without the nic or with the 12mg nic? I was actually going to order some flavors from this site this wknd so if it's good without the nic I'll give it a try. Thanks.

You may also be well advised to upgrade to a "kicked" mod.
I need to drop nic levels since I've gotten the kick by evolv(variable wattage unit)
and started using cotton wicking material instead of silica.

Your hardware plays a significant part also.

Yeah, but unless I'm mistaken all the mods are manual, I much prefer automatic. That may change in the future, of course, but I'm very pleased with my hardware at the moment, so for now I'll experiment with juice.

Yes just going from my BB with a vivi nova to a iHybrid (rebuildable unkicked) I had to drop from 24 mg to 12mg.

Cola flavors give me a decent throat hit...a little water in the blend makes it warmer too. I like a pretty aggressive throat hit (I vape at 36 mg) and the "fizzy" soda flavors seem to do a decent job of giving a good throat hit.

I was worried about the decreased in TH when I switched from 18mg to 12mg. But, ultimately, I didn't notice any difference. I haven't tried 0 nic though...

That's with 12mg nic.

As soon as I hit 0mg that's when I'm going to put down the PV for good, hopefully.

I'm going to try the 0mg Atomic Cinnacide from TV, it's certainly cheap enough.

I tried before , a CE6 cartomizer plus ego battery really get lots of vapor,maybe it works .
