Looking for good juices that give solid TH @ low nic levels

I started vaping 4 months ago with 24 mg juices and have weened myself down to 12 mg, so far. I just ordered a bunch of 6 mg from BWB b/c I like their flavors. I want to be able to eventually get down to 0 nic, but I've found I like a good, strong, solid TH.

Has anyone found a good juice with a solid TH when vaped at 0 to 6 mg?

Also I only use kr808 batteries with LR boge cartos. I don't particularly care for the size of mods or vv devices, but I'd probably be willing to suck it up and get one if I could get TH at 0 nic. But from what I've read here on ecf, 0 nic= 0 TH.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated as always.

No matter what anyone tells you, 0 nicotine = 0 throat hit, plain and simple. Additives to eliquid do not work or provide good throat hit. Some may provide throat irritation but not throat hit that comes from higher nicotine strength and warmer vapor from a better battery model PV.

If you want good, strong (not irritating or harsh) throat hit, it comes from higher nicotine (generally 16mg - 24mg) and warmer vapor from a better battery PV or it's weak sister, LR attys.

Common sense dictates, if additives truely worked, it would be plastered all over this forum and all of us vets would be vaping 0 nicotine eliquid and raving about the throat hit. There is a reason you don't see that occuring on ECF.

For some, menthol eliquid does give some throat "sensation" that is enough to get by on with lower nicotine eliquid. You might want to try that as poor alternative but one that might be all you need if you are determined.

Thanks wv!

You're right. I was wondering, in part, about whether capsaicin at low nic levels might satisfy my TH cravings. But I am also curious as to why some juices seem to hit better at, say 12mg while others I.ve tried at 24 mg 80/20 mix have no TH to me.

BWB melonbacco & VR kentucky blend & applewood have GREAT TH at 12mg, but blue mist ry4 has none at 24. boba's at 18 also had no TH to me, but I assumed that was b/c its 100% vg.

i'm just thinking it has to be something else

Menthols are good for irritation, but it's not really TH. I vape around 6mg, sometimes 8, I never got much of a TH at all from these juices, just a little, not what I really want. But you get used to it. Since I got my LT the situation has improved at higher voltage, around 5+ is where I get a pretty good throat catch sensation if I inhale right. But it's nothing like a 24 mg juice. If you don't want a VV (or can't afford one), if your device can handle it, give low res and/or duel coil a try. They can help mimic higher voltage settings on a less powerful battery. You'll need something with a decent mAH though, to my knowledge, these can't be used on your basic 510, low power models.

Throat hit with low nicotine is going to end up being throat irritation to a degree. You must find one that you like. Or, just get a very strong flavor. This serves my needs:

Wintergreen E-Liquid - Penny 's Store

I add a little menthol to it. There is nothing subtle to this flavor.

Well stated and I agree. A few eliquids use capsaicin which provides a burning/irritating sensation which is nothing like real throat hit.

Good comment to explain the distinctions.

Yep I also use menthol in my evening juice cuz it's weaker than my daytime juice (didn't sleep well vaping the daytime juice) and although I know it's not true TH I enjoy the nice little extra "oomph"- it does seem to compensate somewhat the lower nic level. I do what my body tells me and my body really enjoys the menthol :D

I'm about to try some BWB 6mg Menthol tobacco (med strength) and their Orchard Frost. I was never a fan of menthol before I started vaping and have only tried it at 24 mg, so I can't say for sure at this point whether the cooling "irritation" will work without the nic to back it up.

I'm hoping I won't care if its a true TH or some compensating irritant in the juice so long as it "works" for me, like you said.

Other than cool menthol or hot capsaicin, are there other "irritants" that provide a throat sensation? Citrus? I noticed that some of the cola/mountain dew flavored liquids have a pleasant "carbonated" sensation to them (while others taste like flat, warm gummy cola)

I've heard of people putting just a little bit of alcohol (just a couple drops per large bottle) in their juice. I'm not sure if it works or not. I haven't gotten up the guts to try it lol. But it's worth a shot I suppose.

As for hardware I suggest the Gripper with a lo-res dual coil carto and AW IMR batteries. Round it off with an xtar charger and a couple of extra spacers an it's all good! I like the Gripper because it's only 3 1/2 in's tall and fits my hand and pocket well.

P.S. Madvapes will be closed May 9-13, they are moving to a larger location (Again!) :)

Many of us tried this. And the general consensus was - didn't help at all.
