Can I "sample" liquids in my Nova?

How would I go about 'sampling' a liquid in my Vivi Nova? I've gotten new juices, filled it up only to realize I would rather have X flavor right now, so I have to re-dump the liquid into it's container, clean the nova, and refill. This is a hassle. Anyway to just sample a few drops of a flavor without ruining my wick?

Atomizer/ Atty- an element in a metal tube with no filler on to which 3-4 drops of juice is dripped- usually used for testing new juices because Attys are easy to clean. There are some diehard Atty users because it’s the best vape possible but very time consuming.

Yes it's that easy. You will have to clean it every so often.

Instructions near the bottom - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/378914-suggestions-newbies.html

Very easy - get a 306 bridgeless like the link I gave u, they're the best for dripping.

Ok update. Received this in the mail earlier this morning and gave it a vape. Great flavor and good vapor production. Only problem is that my Nova drip tip doesn't fit in this one, and this seems to be 1 piece, meaning I have to drip the juice in from the top and seem to always get some on my lips when I hit it. Also, it seems to be leaking from the bottom. I'm using it on a 1300mah VV Spinner and its screwed all the way in. Is leaking normal?

It's a 306 atty and you need a 306 drip tip. The one I suggested was a 510 and the drip tip from your Vivi would've fit. Shouldn't be leaking- only 2-3 drops in at a time. Without a drip tip it gets hot and possible juice spurts.

Ill probably buy a few that you recommended for the drip tip reason, and because they're cheap. How long do these things last? And I've only been putting in a few drops at a time, 2-3 as you said, but it just kinda leaks out the bottom and my hits are "coil" tasting because of it.

If only using for testing juices the 510 will do. I only use mine for testing new juices and still have 4 out of 5 left after 1 1/2 yrs. There's also always primer/ machine oil on new attys- with juice burn it off WITHOUT inhaling a few times. Problem is some leak and some don't so I never bothered with expensive ones. When the vape is burnt lasting and/ or weak they need cleaning. Here's the best way I've found and a friend who drips full time swears by this method. The only diff is we use Polident Smokers Cleaner:

If getting the 510 atty prolly a good idea to get a cheap 510 drip tip as switching out the Vivi drip tip will eventually wear the O ring out.

Awesome. Thanks for the help, will be investing in a few of those cheaper ones and looking around for drip tips. Do companies understand that these leak sometimes and therefore negate leaking complaints? I kinda wanna return this one now because its just no good. Sure some liquid stays on the coil, but the vast majority just goes right through the device and leaks all over, so its just going to end up sitting in my drawer unused or thrown out altogether. Wondering if I should email them and try to get it replaced.

You're welcome. QC with these products from China is a HUGE problem. You could contact the Vendor and see what might be done. Maybe they'll toss in a free 510 drip tip on your next order? You can also buy 510 to 306 adapters.
What PG/ VG ratio are you using. Higher B_VG juice usually "clings" to the element better.
Overall I've been very lucky with gear. I'm waiting on the new Kanger ProTank BUT will NOT buy until it's proven its worth with us "common" folk. I trust the reviewers but using something for 3 days doesn't cut it IMO.

My juices are 70% or 80% VG, I have a few 100% VG's but I'm letting them steep extra long. I've had no issues with my Novas as of yet, but I just need these little guys to sample stuff in. I had my eye on the ProTank as well after seeing Pbusardo's review, but as you said, will be waiting until the dust settles. Want to see some tech-addicted vapers recoil it and demonstrate if its difficult or easy to do so. Have been wanting to get hemp wick in my Nova for a long time, just can't seem to make the jump yet.

You're juice ratio seems fine and we seem to agree on lots of stuff  I've rewicked but seeing as Vivi heads up here are $1.50 each it's really not worth it. I used cotton and the vape was INCREDIBLE but they can't be dry burned. SS wicking also showing up. May sound crazy but if rewicking make sure you have a digital multi tester.

:D My thoughts exactly on the cheap heads. Ive been soaking mine in 91% isopropyl alcohol (only inactive ingredient listed is water) when they get super gunked, followed by a water soak and an over-night air dry and my heads have been lasting for a good long time. I guess I'm just a bit concerned with the potential health risks of silica. Need to get that multi meter too. That would be used for measuring ohms correct?

I've read some studies and although not completely safe it seems the fears of silica shards is overblown IMO. Would be nice if they had an alternative. The air way in cartos is made of silica.

http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=Digital+Multimeter has some decently priced. Alawys buy digital- analog aren't accurate and remember you get what you pay for.

With it you can test batteries, chargers, ohms, volts, shorts- most of the larger VV PVs have short protection but the eGo class- includes reg eGo, Kgo, Twists, Spinners don't have very good short protection. Sometimes they'll signal a short, sometimes they'll shut off and sometimes they'll fry the battery. I always test my cartos, clearo, Vivis before using them. Generally they're never as specified so if I know the true ohms at least I can adjust for it.
It's like driving a high perf car. You look at the speedo and switch gears but to be more precise a tach really fine tunes the performance.
