I have a dual coil tank made locally here in NZ. Been using it for months without issue then all of a sudden a spider web of hairline cracks have appeared on the inside of it. I think this was due to Mt Baker Cinnamon Roll finally taking its toll on it. It's not leaking and still seems to vape ok. But question is, is it safe to continue vaping with a tank that's cracked like this in terms of inhaling etc. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your tank.

Whether to keep using it is up to you. I don't think anyone on ECF (or at least anyone whose posts I have read) can tell you what by-products are released when polycarbonate (et al) degrades. As I note in my blog, vinegar and bleach are fine by themselves, but mixed together form a toxic gas. Just an observation.

Like Ocelot's experience, no-one I have ever asked could tell me what is released when plastic degrades from our juices. From my experience in plastic molding I can tell you that it could be nasty and that when I encounter degraded plastic I do not vape from it. Your tank developing hairline cracks is likely due to a chemical reaction with the juice. Cinnamon is notorious for this. Is it safe? I don't know for sure, but as I said, I don't vape from it myself because I don't want to take the chance with my health.
