Haven't been vaping for a while (about a month) and I've been trying to look into get into an rda to hopefully blow some more clouds and get some better flavor instead of using the Subtank Mini. I've seen on a site that the Mutation X V4 RDA should only be used on a mech mod? Was wondering if I can use it on the subox mini and it be safe and worth it? If it is worth it will it blow more clouds and be better flavor than the Subtank Mini or should I just stick with my Subtank mini all together on this box mod until I can get a better box mod? Would like some answers, thanks guys!

Yes you can. You won't have a high ceiling with it as the Subox goes up to 50 watts, but its very possible to have a very satisfying vape.
BUT, and this is a big one, make sure that the RDA, or any other piece you decide to use, works on the Subox. Since the pin is fixed on the Subox, sometimes, with some RTA/RDA, the positive doesn't make contact. Test it if you can before buying, just to make sure.
Good luck!

You are correct, the X4 will push out plenty of vapor, much more than the Subtank, and you'll be good to go.

And you are also correct that the X4 has an adjustable pin, but if you push the pin down too far in the Subox, the Subtank won't connect correctly. Its kind of an odd situation. If you are brave enough, you can open up the Subox and push the pin back up.
Hope that makes sense :)

So say I do this and it pushes the pin too far down what happens then? What's another good box mod that's cheap and affordable?
If you do push the pin down too far, its an easy fix, but will void your warranty, and its at your own risk.
There are 2 screws in the battery sled, and by removing them (with the little phillips that came with the kit), the whole inside assembly will come out. The pin, above the circuit board can be pushed up carefully, with a small flathead. Then you'll be good to go.

As far as another box, or TC mod, I'll let some of the TC experts answer that, since i'm still experimenting with Ni and Ti.

Keep in mind though, the Mutation X4 might work fine! I don't mean to cast doubt at all, I just want to make sure you test it first, so you don't get stuck with an RDA you can't use! The Subox is a really cool device, and my Royal Hunter RDA works fine on mine! (Well, one of mine, haha)

I appreciate the replies and help guys, will be ordering the X4 tomorrow and should hopefully get it by the end of the week and I'll be trying it out and will post my results! Btw, what size wire should I get to go for low ohm builds in the RDA? Would like to stay around .5ohms as that's what I use in my tank and love it more than the higher ohms.. maybe I dare will try .3 for the first time since it's the low the kbox can go :3
