Hi guys,

My friend just built me new coils for my new TOBH atty rda V2. He used 24 gauge wire and did 5 wraps on the coil. Dual coils. obviously with Japanese organic cotton.

Before i do something silly, will this drip tank work ok on my eleaf istick 30W? and if so, what would be the "sweet spot" that i should set the volts/watts at.

Newbie not wanting to blow himself up or ruin his battery.

Any advice is welcome, many thanks for your time

Why obviously Japanese Cotton? Not everyone uses that.
Do you have an ohm meter? With what I'm figuring, you're at about 0.2 ohms if you did a 2.4mm or 3.0mm diamter. Your iStick 30w won't even fire it.

Not much of a good friend if he set you up as a beginner with such a low ohm build. You should be vaping a lot higher like 1.0 ohms until you learn more about battery safety and ohms law.

Thanks for this response. Would making more wraps on the coil make the ohms higher so i could use it on the istick 30W? Like say 8 wraps, still with the 24 gauge?

Doing 2.4mm diameter, you would need 13 wraps to even get close to 0.5 ohms. If you went higher like 0.7 ohms, you'd need close to 18 wraps. That's the problem with 24g. Plus with the TOBH, if I remember right, airflow is lacking in it, so such a low ohm build isn't that enjoyable when I had one.
Ok so what are my options here? to get some different coil diameter for the build? 20G for example?

No, no no. If you build 20g your ohms would be lower.
Coil diameter is just what size you wrap the coil. That way you're building higher and it'll still work, but since you're learning 28g is smarter, especially when you don't know as much with this. Building wrong can be dangerous. Building without an ohm meter is plain dumb honestly.
