can i use nitecore 18650 for a mech mod?

I had a gift card for rei and i bought a nitecore 18650 without doing research. I know you need a high drain battery but the battery i recieved is a nitecore li-ion 2600 mAh 18650 3.7V 9.6Wh high discharge. Is this okay to use in a mechanical mod? What is the difference between high discharge and high drain?

That is a flashlight battery. And even then, since it's a NiteCore I wouldn't even use it in a flashlight.
