It shouldn't.. still only using one battery. It's like using a 18650 with only 700mAh...

Yes, the whole idea is stupid but it is a valid solution and not causing safety issues with Vin or tin foil to simulate a button top battery...

Yeah, what Bad said. Unless maybe you had a Vamo and the extension was stuck on and all you had was one 18350?

Out of 18650s, 18500, and only have a 18350. You happen to have a dummy spacer and you HAVE TO HAVE A vape... Haha
Ha ha. I don't think so.

Anybody who has been vaping for a month or so soon realizes the importance of having backups for their backups for all the vape gear that they own. To run out of batteries is the result of poor planning or being too poor to buy enough batteries. If you are too poor to buy batteries you are too poor to buy cigarettes.

It's when people start doing unconventional things with dangerous things like batteries is when they get into trouble. Like the tin foil guy. Sparks being created by using a battery improperly can't be a good thing. Pulling the protective circuit from a protected battery to allow it to fit in a mod is unconventional and foolish to ask on the forum if what they did was stupid. Of course it is.

Simply posting what you did could easily deceive a novice vapor into believing that using an 18350 and a CRC battery is a possibility and might even try it. Even if what you did was done as a joke, it had no place to be posted on a public forum IMO.

I make no appologies for my sterness. I was a recipient of an exploded battery in a mod, so I don't take battery safety lightly.

OK. I surrender. But I know I'm being misunderstood. What I suggested is the same as using the PILA spacer in their charger. The dummy battery is simply a metal spacer surrounded but something so it doesn't short to the side walls. That's all. Would you think using the pila spacer is dangerous?

It's really not about understanding or misunderstanding.
What you are suggesting will be read by people who think this is ok.

ProVape didn't design the ProVari with dummy spacers in mind but there's plenty of dummies who'll try anything because someone on a forum said it was cool to do!

BTW~ do you even own a ProVari?

What Scandal said.

I think most of us understand how the dummy spool will allow you to get a dire vape out of a full length Prov with an 18350. But as pointed out, it's better to just keep that to yourself. Imagine the newb who buys a ProVari, but forgets to order an 18490 and has an 18350 lying around...... Sees this thread and starts gutting batteries, hacking out protection curcuits and improvising on an expensive piece of American wonderment just because he/she didn't have the responsible patience to wait for the proper battery to ship or charge.

Yes it's great that you have the ability to "think outside the tube", and if you want to do something with blatant disregard for what is proper, go right ahead. But for the sake of the 1000's reading this that could have it go terribly wrong....... It's just better to keep some ideas to yourself.
