I have a smok mod and I use 2 LG HD2 batteries with my griffin. Now I plan to upgrade my tank to tfv8. Would my current mod and batteries be sufficient to vape at high wattages ike 150-200w on the tfv8?

What about the LG HG2 batteries? Are they any better?

Just wanna know if it's safe. Thanks.

150-200watts on a 20amp HG2, flat out answer, "Nope". 20amp amp batteries max watts is 60watts per battery, so in your example 2 20amp batteries gives you a total of 120watts max. 150watts you start nudging into the max watts a pair of 25amp batteries (Sony VTC5A, LG HD2, HD2C, and HD4) for example, max watts on a dual battery set up is about 180watts with 30amp CDR batteries (which there are only 3, LG HB2, HB4, and HB6 but they are all 1500mah). Want to get up to that 200watts you need at least a 3 battery mod.

Thanks for the insight. Would u recommend x3 HD2s or HG2s?
The recommended wattage for tfv8 is 120-180w.

Which mod do you plan to stuff three batteries into?

So now you have to buy the new tank, a new mod and a bunch of new batteries.
I hope the hype of the TFV8 is worth it.

Cheers

It is also entirely dependent upon which coil head you decide to run inside the TFV8. It basically boils down to how much wire is inside the coil. Don't get me wrong, SMOK makes some good gear, the problem I have is with tank coil heads they are coming out with, I have a TFV4, with the pre-made coil heads for that alone is to much power needed even to push the tank into performance, the TFV8 went even further down into evil Alice's rabbit hole, and the TFV12 is even worse by far than the other 2. With an RX200, with 3 20amp HG2 batteries you are looking at 180watts max (60watts per battery), to hit the full 200watts you'd need the Sony VTC5A (2500mah @25amps) or the LG HD Series (2000 to 2200mah @25amps) (75watts per battery).

Cheers. This is going to be a huge investment....
