hey guys an gals,

i close friend of mine has a crap ton of RC parts he is willing to get rid of,

i found these EXACT voltage indicators/testers... and i wanna get them from him for the low low...

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

my question is can i use them in a mod??
i want to use them as a voltage display just like any other mod, id like to put a switch on it to be able to turn it off and on as i need, but i want to still be able to see what voltage my POT is at and the voltage when the atty is under load...
i guess? lol if its possible??

if anything using it as a battery checker? that is the lowest on the totem pole...

i know this isnt the volt indicator on madvapes... i know its got a foot print and the mod i fond to put it in is going to be pretty packed on space... but i just need ta know

if i can wire it for my needs,
and maybe how i can do that...

thanks for any input and advice an opinions....

thanks for your time all:vapor:

If you are using a mod with only 1 battery, then probably not. With 2 batteries, yea you can. At the top it says 2s 6s, that means it is for use with multiple cells.

Either the first or last pin will be a common ground. All the other pins are for hot wires. The display will cycle showing the voltage output of the first hot wire, then the second, and so forth...

thank you all for the replies!,,

SO... these will also display the voltage under load too? the volts of the atty underload?

thats one of the things i was most concerned about...

i think my up coming mod is going to be a 2x 14500 VV with a REV2 regulator, and this voltage display... in a Altoids mints box....

so is there any concern read out underload?

As long as you have them wired in parallel with the output to the battery connector you will see both loaded and unloaded voltage (with, without atty)..

tanks hoog,

so one pin wired to the +battery connector, and one plug wired to the atty +wire??

wait thats not parallel is it???

It has circuit protection so you wont fry it hooking it up like that. You need to hook the negative into any ground available then you hook a positive into your line going to the atomizer. After the switch so it is not always on. If for some reason your switching the negative side then what i said get reversed. Here is a picture of how you hook it up on the meter side

damn it,

madvapes forgot the POT... :(of the REV2 i ordered... guess iama have ta call them up and wait a bit longer, guess i can plan this first VV mod out even more throughly though, and to me thats not a bad thing, :2cool:

iam not that upset though, stuff happens iam sure they will help me get what iam missing

ive learned patience from my saltwater fish hobby, :laugh:l i have high hopes this VV box will turn out good nuff that the wifes :glare:gonna steal it away from me like she did my first 3.7V box... yea lolol not coo, anyhoot i should prolly look into getting another regulator because of that fact....

iam glad i looked at the contents before i started do ANYthing:blink: i woulda thought i had lost it:blink: or somethin, dang i wish i was soldering some stuff right now -;):toast:

while iam thinking of it, is it possible or can you mod/ or use better capistors or transistors in place of the 10k caps that come with the kit? or should i/you just keep it "stocked"
was thinking a Tantalum 100uf or what not, but i think iam just mind wandering and puffing dreams or somethin

marine tanks  i feel your pain! wasted SO many $$ on this thing, and what is worst she bought me a another 55gallon tank 2 years ago for my birthday, and the WAY worst part is we are going to be starting it up soon after i finally finish building the stand, weve had LRock from a tank rescue a year ago that was covered in aptasia that i mad scienctist and made clean rock again, LOLOL its been sitting there cycling in a tub for months now too lolol SaltWater hehe its a love hate thing for sure

iama wait till tomorrow i soldered up a 808 and a 510 connectors iam happy with that,

i feel the need to look up the old "how ta solder" youtube videos, as ive never soldered a chip yet, or even board for that matter,

iam confident but being prepared and confident are 2 different things

ive been trying to find a manual of some kind for the REV2 from MV but all ive found is the picture on the site,
i got no intructions no Pot

i can go with the picture but whats the first step?? lol where do i begin... iam thinkin the chip first then the rest since there solder connections are on the bottom side

would i be right? step 1...

Hey Luke, I have an extra pot if you want it. one of my vv kits came with two (Thats probably where yours went :)

Anyway, if you want it, I will send it out tomorrow free of charge. But I imagine with Madvapes lightening quick order processing, if you order tonight, you will probably get your order as quick as mine, in case you are ordering something else from them.

PM me your address if you want it.
