and boom goes the dynamite...:toast:

took me FOREVER and a day to figure out how and where to wire a 2S-6S Vmeter...

but i think i figured it out...

although...

it reads (NO1) the voltage from the POT, this wire is soldered into the atty wire...

then reads (NO2) and it is signifcantly lower voltage from NO1, it(no2) is wired to the dead side of the switch

then it reads (ALL) which i think is the Volts of the batteries, it reads higher than the other 2 at like 8.8v

SO No1. reads 4.87,:vapor:
No2. reads 3.09v:glare:
and ALL reads 7.91...
:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

ohh and the ground wire is soldered to the ground out of the battery box...

 it works... :?:but for some reason iam dumbfounded at how and why  2011-09-12 01.09.42.jpg2011-09-12 01.10.40.jpg

ohh and the no1 read out does change voltage readout when i dial up or down the pot...

It is made to read the voltages of a lipo battery pack . One ground and the others would read each battery in the pack and then give the total voltage . I think that one wire goes from the "out" of each battery in the pack . Not sure where now but somewhere on the net is a diagram of the setup .

Edit: Look at the thumbnail in post #5 at this link Measure Individual Cell Voltage (LIPO) - RC Groups

Edit: this assumes your v meter works the same as the one from madvapes...

I will draw a diagram in a few minutes, but basically ground goes to pin 1, the connection BETWEEN the batteries (assuming they are in series) goes to pin 2, and the positive out of both batteries goes tot pin 3.

Using the madcaps style volt display you should see:
2ce meaning it sees two cells
ALL (voltage) for both cells
No1 (voltage for first batt)
No2 (voltage for second batt)

The last three of those cycle over and over. I use the pin1 with a NO momentary switch to show the display

Hope that's clear, I will make a diagram when I get to my office

I think just about all 2S-6S voltage meters will work the same as they are usually made for RC Lipo battery packs are they not ? I have the madvapes ones myself . here is a video you may like to look at . The one in the video seems to be missing an all read out .

I do love volt meters....

Here's how I mounted one in the mod

newmeter2.jpg

I mounted a switch to the right of the meter so I can turn it off when I don't need the reading

...and the basic add on

Thanks to ScroungerLee for the wiring diagram for testing each cell and the total. Appreciate having that

Seems to me a 2s-6s would work if you wire what you want to measure to the 2nd and 3rd pin, just it would tell you twice. ;)

I remember the days when nobody could get the 2s to work at all...then one guy posted how to wire it (wish I could remember who it was so as to give credit...it was pretty slick how he worked it out)
