Sorbitol, also known as glucitol, is a sugar alchool that the body metabolises slowly. It is obtained by reduction of glucose changing the aldehyde group to an additional hydroxyl group hence the name sugar alcohol.

Uses:
Sorbitol is used in "sugar-free" mints and various cough syrups and is usually listed under the inactive ingredients.
Sorbitol is a sugar substitute often used in diet foods (including diet drinks and ice cream) and sugar-free chewing gum. It also occurs naturally in many stone fruits and berries from trees of the genus Sorbus. Sorbitol is also referred to as a nutritive sweetener because it provides dietary energy: 2.6 kilocalories (11 kilojoules) per gram versus the average 4 kilocalories (17 kilojoules) for carbohydrates.
Sorbitol is often used in modern cosmetics as a humectant and thickener. Sorbitol is often used in mouthwash and toothpaste, as it is said[who?] that when mixed with other certain ingredients it can help fight plaque. Some transparent gels can only be made with sorbitol as it has a refractive index sufficiently high for transparent formulations. Sorbitol is used as a cryoprotectant additive (mixed with sucrose and sodium polyphosphates) in the manufacture of surimi, a highly refined, fish paste most commonly produced from Alaska (or walleye) pollock (Theragra chalcogramma).[citation needed] It is also used as a humectant in some cigarettes.

Overdose effects
Ingesting large amounts of sorbitol can lead to some abdominal pain, gas, and mild to severe ......... Sorbitol ingestion of 20 grams/day (g/d) as sugar-free gum has led to severe ........ leading to unintended weight loss of 24 lbs in a 114 lb woman; another patient required hospitalization after habitually consuming 30g/d. Sorbitol can also aggravate irritable bowel syndrome and fructose malabsorption.
Even in the absence of dietary sorbitol, cells produce sorbitol naturally. When too much sorbitol is produced inside cells, it can cause damage. Diabeticretinopathy and neuropathy may be related to excess sorbitol in the cells of the eyes and nerves. The source of this sorbitol in diabetics is excess glucose, which goes through the sorbitol-aldose reductase pathway.

Now my questions are:
Can I vape the sorbitol?
Will it make a vapor like PG and VG?
Would it raise sugar blood if i vaped it?

Why would you want to? Sorbitol, sucrose, asparatame, xylitol, mannitol etc... are nasty chemicals..........

Because PG and VG are kickin our BSL's ...!!! Over 300 consistently since beginning vaping, a little worried I may have to stop completely if this keeps up, cause it will kill me faster than the analogs. I really DO need a Sugar free vapor alternative.

Ok, so there is no sugar in PG, but a quick google search shows that PG can raise the blood sugar levels.... Does this mean that PG is a form of sugar?

That said, according to this article, Glycerol (VG) does not raise the blood sugar level.

it might be that it converts to sugars in the body... there are alot of example of that but i dont remember most of them.. alcohol is one.. it has sugar in it... but once ingested the ferments become sugar.. thus increasing the content HUGELY

Where were you when I was asking about diabetics and no one would agree with me that it affected blood sugar? (I'm hypoglycemic) LOL. I don't care what's in it, I know it raises my bsl, because I crash alot more on it than off (more on pg than vg I think, but only been faithful to vg about a week and my muscles are still cramping, maybe worse, so wtf?)....
So what is your bsl normally and how is vaping different? It may be that you are ingesting more nicotine than before, which tells your body to release more sugar into your blood. I highly doubt that vaping sorbitol or artifcial sweeteners would help this. I can't even eat them, don't they affect your bsl? If anything, I would try a zero nicotine cartridge for a day or two and see what your bsl does then........
