I noticed as time goes on with each repeated use of a dual coil carto that the wicking material becomes less efficient, by holding less and less liquid. In the beginning I could put 50 drops of liquid into the carto, now in some I can only get ten drops in before they leak, even if the material is dry. Is there something I can do to fix this problem? Perhaps by changing the material to possibly blue foam?

Any information is welcomed and appreciated
Thanks

I have cleaned a number of regular size carto's with hot water and my air compressor and had really good results. I first let the hot water from the faucet run slowly through and flush as much as I can. I then put them in a container of hot water and let them sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then out to the compressor (set below 10 psi)and blow them out, put them back in the water and blow them out again. I repeat this until I feel they are clean and then I will blow air through until dry (several minutes). This is all done from the plug (mouth) end and not the threaded end.

Tried this on a XXL dual Coil Carto last night and it worked just fine, just takes longer to dry it.

Very important that use don't use high pressure water or air, this will compact the filler and don't do this from the threaded end as it will push the filler up.
