I heard back from Bomb Vapor. This is NOT a true V3 Vamo with the removeable top. It is a bit of a hybrid. According to them, "This is not the v3 with the removable top cap.. This is the v3x which is the v2 tube with the v3 internals".
The SS threading should be good.. Better than the plated brass versions. I recommended the Vamo since you are new to vaping, and wanted something inexpensive that you could actually adjust to the taste you wanted compared to the VMax.
I may go with something like this if I see the threads starting to wear a bit, and I can always screw in a 510/ego adapter and screw my cone-threaded tanks down onto that.I use the T3 from time to time, and it's never a good idea to screw them down too tightly, regardless of the device. I would just try them, and be careful. There are tanks which have airflow issues on the ProVari, and it's a very pricey (but excellent quality) device.
Chances are, after 6 months or so of continued success with your vaping journey, you will be looking into other devices anyway. I started out 3 years ago with cig-a-likes, eGo's, and then, mods. You are way ahead of the game at this point with your Vamo compared to what was available when I was new.
I've watched probably 50 or 60 of Phil Busardo's videos and exchanged some emails with him thanking him for all he has done to educate us newbies. Also exchanged some messages with Dimitris Agrafiotis, who lives just north of me in Chattanooga. I have subscriptions to the other guys as well - except for step07726. I'll have to check him out. Being disabled, I have lots of time to watch these guys. I've learned a lot from them. Wish I had 5% of their toys!
