One good thing about VV over VW... 20 Watt vaping on a 15w device.

So I've been goofing around with my double carto adapter, running a pair of Boge LR cartos. Final resistance once on the adapter is 1.2ohm.

I threw a pair of 18350s in my Vamo, cranked it up to 15 watts, and was fairly disappointed with the vapor quality. A 1.2ohm head at 15 watts equals about 4.2v. So, in VW mode, I cannot really take advantage of the two cartomizers.

In VV mode, however, I'm able to pump out a lot more power. Running at 5 volts I'm getting crazy amounts of vapor, tons of flavor, and a very very warm hit, which is what I like. 5 volts on 1.2 ohms equals 20 watts... actually almost 21 watts. I tried going higher than 5 volts but was met with a burnt juice (fortunately not burnt filler) flavor, so I backed off. Running 5v and 20+ watts my amperage is still within the Vamo's limits, as I'm pulling a tiny bit over 4amps, and I believe the vamo has a 5amp limit?

So, actually, the Vamo (and the million other VV/VW chinamods with the same chip) do not have a 15 watt limit, their limit is dependent on a few other things, but you can easily take the Vamo over 20 watts. Obviously you need stacked cells for this, a single battery won't be able to supply enough power.

This seems to be a far more manageable setup than what I was doing previously, stacking dual 18350s in my ST Bolt and running a pair of cartos to get an end rez. of about 2.5 ohms, for a total of roughly 20-25 watts depending on battery level. When I first got the double carto adapter I was using it on my VW devices, in VW mode, and thought the performance to be pretty anemic. But after switching to VV mode I was able to really take advantage of two cartos. It looks goofy as all hell but sure outperforms a single carto setup.

Now a double carto tank would be a good idea, as I'm so spoiled by tanks that having to top off these cartos every 5 minutes is getting old.
