So, I've been vaping for a few weeks now and one of the things I've really been enjoying is vaping in my office, which has been approved by my boss (CEO)...though he'd rather I not vape openly in the common areas.

At anyrate, my administrative assistant is in and out of my office pretty frequently and has commented how pleasant it is now that I'm vaping rather than smoking...I don't stink up the office anymore with my smelly clothes and my vapor smells faint, but so good. I've worked my way through several different flavors, but my new favorite seems to really be getting to her when she comes into my office. I'm currently enjoying my green tea/raspberry e-juice which is made by the same folks I've been buying the rest of my juices from and in the same ratio of PG/VG...but for whatever reason, everytime she steps into my office she starts sneezing and her eyes get all watery, etc. Once she leaves my office, she's fine. She keeps telling me to switch back to "whatever you were vaping before"...which I'm going to do, but was wondering if anyone else has encountered this kind of thing before?

I vape indoors at home and in the car, etc and none of my family has had any kind of reaction to my current, totally awesome, favorite juice...just weird.

Is the juice the same brand/maker? The only thing different is the flavor. So, there maybe something in the flavor that your assistant is allergic to. I have not experienced anyone around me who has had an allergic reaction to anything I have vaped. Never heard of anyone allergic to green tea, but I have known some who are allergic to raspberry or even fruits.

It is possible to be allergic to almost anything. I'm allergic to certain chemicals, soft PVC, and some rubber compounds, for example. I can't be in the same room with Scotch tape! Fortunately for me, this does not include anything in e-juices!

Edit: Certain perfumes make me sick.

Yes to allergic response. The first 6 months I was vaping pre-mixed e-liquid. My family would cough/sneeze. I think the major component in their allergic response was the menthol. I did buy a air purifier. It worked.

However, I have been diy'ing for a long time. Now, the vapor does not bother them. I vape menthol only when I am in my car.

I am allergic to potpurri/perfumes smells so I can related to odors.

Hmmm...this green tea and raspberry does give off a more musky...with a touch of floral perfume kind of smell. Perhaps that is just not sitting well with my admin assistants senses. My wife hasn't started sneezing or anything, but she has commented that she doesn't like the scent as much as some of the sweeter juices with cocoa and vanilla extracts that I've been vaping. Sucks too...I'm loving the flavor; tastes like I'm vaping an Arizona Raspberry Green Tea.

Guess I'll just vape this stuff outdoors and when I'm by my lonesome.

There's a difference between an actual allergy and being sensitive to an irritant. Onions and black pepper can make us sneeze and get watery eyes, but most of us don't have a true allergy to them. Same thing with perfumes or smoke. There is something in the new liquid that is probably just an irritant to her upper respiratory system and it's most likely the flavoring ingredient (my money is on the raspberry.) The polite thing to do would be to not vape that particular flavor around her. It's the same as you would probably do if you occasionally wore a particular cologne that caused that same reaction.
