I'm a bit confused on exactly what altering the FSK Temp Curve is doing. Let's say I have a SS coil and I'm vaping at 450* and 50 watts. Now, if I go in and adjust the FSK Temp Curve up is that going to make the vape hotter? If so, why doesn't the user just adjust the temperature and wattage? Also, if the FSK Temp Curve is changing the temperature of the vape, how the heck is one able to know if they are actually vaping at the temperature they have their device set for? I realize this is an advanced feature and so I am likely missing something, please fill me in.

Thanks!!

If using SS coils best to use the preset SS setting which has no options to adjust FSK. It is pretty accurate compared to my DNA mods.

You can use any coil in xXx mode and this is were you adjust the FSK %. Now in this mode adjusting the FSK is user dependant, the temp is guessed by the end user. I only use SS coils in xXx mode if I just want to customize my vape, for accuracy I use the preset SS mode.

Vape too hot, turn FSK down, too cold, turn FSK up. It is mainly there to TC Kanthal, Nichrome or NON conventional TC wire. It will control the temp but what temp that is is up to the user, sort of have to go off experience.

The only thing I have heard Ben from Hohmtech says is the chip pings the coils. Not sure exactly what that means but it is different than measuring the resistance like conventional TC. He also said the chip in xXx mode doesn't know what the temp is, it will limit power when the cotton gets dry to avoid dry hits. That has to be set up by the user though using the FSK %.

It does work but if you need to know that 450 is actually 450 then use the preset TC mode for SS, Ni and Ti which function just like other mods. Any other wire needs to have the FSK adjusted to keep a constant temp but what that temp is is just a educated guess by the user.

There is a new users guide for the Hohm G2 and Slice in the regulated mod section. It is stickied so always in the top of that section. (See Edit)

Edit: I replied via tapatalk and didn't realize what forum I was on. The New Users guide for the G2 and Slice are on another forum.

Thanks, that makes sense. The strange thing is it seems like my Hohm Slice is TC Kanthal more accurately than it is SS -- at least based on the temperature I'm used to getting from my TC100 with the same coil. The SS is very cool and not hitting anywhere near the ramp wattage I have it set for. With Kanthal it is firing right where I would expect it to. Kind of weird as I haven't adjusted the FSK at all of Kanthal and it cannot be adjusted for SS. For reference, I am just using Innokin stock coils -- the SS 316 0.5 and the BVC Clapton 0.5.
