Hey Guys,
So I just got my new mod today, a Hohm Slice. I decided to throw an Innokin I Sub V tank on with a 0.5 ohm 316L ss coil. I went ahead and went into temp control mode, chose ss 316, and set it at 450* and 40 watts. Unfortunately, I've been experiencing very unsatisfying vapes even after replacing the atomizer head, cleaning the tank, and messing with the settings. To me, 450* in this mode feels ice cold. I am getting very weak clouds and airy bland flavor. Also, I've noticed the mod never ramps up to the 40 watts I have it set for, it starts out around 30 and quickly drops into the teens.
The strange thing is that I put a kanthal coil in the tank and used the kanthal temp control and actually felt like I was getting too hot of a vape at 450*, will need to play with the FSK Curve but that's not important. I guess my question is, what the heck do you think is wrong? I suppose my Cool Fire IV could have been way off with it's temperature readings and 450* feels weak but that seems unlikely as it would have had to be off by like 100*, as I was vaping my Cool Fire with the same coil at 380* and it felt much warmer. I'm wondering whether it might have something to do with the coil.
I know there is no real way to gauge temperature, but if I put the mod into power mode and take a could 40 watt vapes it is much warmer than the 450* TC vapes. Does that sound plausible?
Sorry for all the newb questions.
