I saw a RIVA for a great price at a major retailer's web site and an ego I want another kit but other than battery size I really don't understand the difference between the 2 can someone explain maybe

I don't believe there is a difference. After alot of research, I purchased a Riva from Liberty Flights at a great price (press the 20% off button at the top left of the site), and I've been very happy. As a matter of fact, just ordered another one today because I lost one out of my pocket doing yard work this weekend. I think the only difference is that the Riva is not a "Joye" product. From what I have read, most people like the Riva just fine.
Difference =
1. Gold Band instead of Silver
2. Button of Riva is a softer rubber type Button that glows Blue
3. Reg Ego 650mAh Reg Riva 750 mAh so they say but I happen to think there the same.
4. Those are the only differences I see looking at mine and the Adv specs of the two I believe.
5. Warranty may be different too depending where you buy as well !

A Riva is an Ego knockoff. IT's a Bolex instead of a Rolex. A Cooch instead of a Coach. I love my Rivas with Boge 510lr cartos.
