Hey all,

I jumped the gun on a Cana mod (dna -30 clone) without doing my research on DNA 30 chip. I found that I hate the chip lol. However it is very popular so there must be a way to get a good vape out of it. I have failed in every attempt.

What can I try to do to get a good vape? The problem I'm having is it of course basically has a 4 volt minimum requirement to fire. I either get a burnt taste (at lower ohm build) or I get no vapor production and no flavor (at higher ohm builds). Anyone else have this issue?

I know now, for me that, .6ohm-1ohm at 2.5volts-3.8 volts is ideal for me personally (took forever to figure this out). For me, I noticed the wattage itself is not necessarily the best tool for comparison eventhough it is suppose to equalize things.

Back to the question : what RTAs should I try? Is there a type of build that works best or good with the DNA30 which allows for high Voltage vaping? There a decent clearomizer that's not bad to try?

Not really a RDA fan at all as it's just as royal hassle. The taste and vapor is the absolute best of course with these but outside of vaping on the couch with the lights on I don't find them practical for me - I wish I did -

So, what can I try to vape in terms of RTAs or anything (other than an RDA) in the Cana?

Thanks so much !

A ton of people are using DNA with Kayfun/Russians with good results.

You never said what you were trying to use, but if voltage is a low end restriction. Coiling higher should NOT cause any problems. Coiling properly might.

TOBH and Magma are both pretty easy to work with.

What are you building on?

My recommendation from personal experience is to build higher resistance coils with thicker wire (26ga-28ga) and then increase wattage to taste.

I prefer to vape rebuildable tanks. My Expromizer is getting Cana mod duty and is running a 1.6Ω coil using 12 wraps of 26ga at 2.2mm ID. (It's huge)

Larger wire with larger coil = more surface area + more power = more tasty vapor

Currently running it at 25 watts and it's awesome.

Ok I have a cana. Don't have the 4 volt issue you speak of so will go to what i do know.
RTA's I would suggest followed by build suggestion:
#1 Fogger v4, build (2) 2 ohm coils 28 ga a1 kanthal 10 tight wraps 2.5 mm ID using ( in no particular order) cotton or cellucotton. Do not pack the wick to tight in the wick holes. The wick should slide easily through the coil with the slightest of resistance.
# Very close second the aqua same build as the above.
#3 A good Kayfun ( like the lite plus) again a dual coil but it will be a 8/7 if i recall and use enough wick to fill wick trays but not blocking the juice hole. Hard to do dual coils on this.

I don't go sub ohm and pour on the watts. I don't go past 25-28 watts on the above. You may want to try an rda like the tobh you can go with a lower ohm on them.

Bought my first kayfun clone after purchasing my cana. Built a 1.5 ohm coil with 28 gauge kanthal. 8 wraps around a 3/32 drill bit. Wicked it with cotton, (first time I've ever used cotton), and vaped. 13-14 watts good for me to get good flavor and vapor from a 50/50 juice. Liked it so much that I ordered a second kaufun 3.1 clone. My protank 2's with aero bases have been gathering dust.

I too have a Cana DNA 30. though I don't use it too much, it's pretty nice and I don't have the 4.0v min you speak of.

I usually run about .8ohm coil and the device will attempt to fire it at the voltage it needs for the wattage I desire. I am normally around 18-20watts with a KFL+ and .8ohm with zero burnt taste. I just tried it with my .7 build at 10watts and it fired. You have to remember when the ohms blink it will try to fire at a lower voltage to get the wattage you specify. I only seen mine fire at 4.0v when I specify 22watts+

You didn't specify what tank or RBA you are currently using, but if you are running it too hot, chain vaping, and the device can't wick fast enough, you will get a burnt taste eventually.

My hubby is using this one---Orbit30 30 Watt Box Mod - Cloupor DNA30 Chipset.....with a Kanger AERO Tank 2.5ml BDC Pyrex Glass & STNLS on top and he is loving it. I am also using and loving my aero tank on my iTazte MVP right now. If you are looking for something that just works and works well you may want to check the Aero tank out for your Cana.

The Aero tanks are on sale now at New Kanger AERO Tank 2.5ml BDC Pyrex Glass & STNLS - CLEAR [gv-KangerAeroTankStainless-CLEAR] - $23.72 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more I know a lot of stores sell them and you may be able to find them cheaper but this is where I bought ours.
