Can someone tell me about Sharkhide?

First off, I wasn't sure where to post this, so if it needs to be moved I apologize.

Can those of you familiar with sharkhide please tell me how it is used and what the benefits are? I understand there is a polish that will give my PV mirror finish.

I also understand there is a Sharkhide protectant that will keep it that way. Does this repel the oils on my fingers making it less prone to pawprints?

its just a metal polish. protector. and seeing how its used on things that dont get touched probably not going to help with fingerprints.

they make a metal/alum cleaner. and a metal polish, usually used on chrome rims and bumpers... that kind of stuff.

I have seen it used on the GG and Caravela's. I am interested in someone who uses it explaining why the polish is more beneficial than other polishes, and what the protectant accomplishes.

Do you use it Thrasher?

i have in the past for boat parts its pretty durable and seems to last awhile before getting dirty or needing to recoat as its like a clearcoat., i dont know how it would hold up to daily use/touching.
it may reduce it somewhat but cant imagine a big difference. have you checked their website for usage ideas and information?

never thought of something like this for a mod as mine is chrome as well. I just polish with an old tshirt lol

All of the "big boys" that have the mirror finished high end collections use SH. I know its rather expensive but from the results they are getting it worth it. I tried to use Brasso on my brass Caravela yesterday and I made some horrible surface swirls because the Brasso is too abrasive. So whatever you do, don't use Brasso.
I sought the advice of the big boys and I wqas advised to just use the SH polishing compound, not to let it dry when using it, and just to do it by hand w microfiber cloths.

Yes I agree a co-op is in order. If the smallest quantity was purchased, I believe 1 person could never use it all in a lifetime of vaping. From what I was told yesterday a very small amount goes a long way. I will get back with the expert the helped me out and see if he would be interested in providing "tech support" for the co-op. I am finishing my first co-op right now. I would be glad to run another for this right after X-mas if we can wait that long.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I would be interested in both the polish and the protectant But wasn't exactly sure if I needed both, but seeing as Brasso is a no-no probably would like to have both. Buying a whole quart for 3 PV's just seemed a bit much.

i learned that too,,but it is the newer version of brasso that is so dam abrasive,,,if you can find the older type in a metal can it is almost liquid like water and won't leave any swirl marks,,check my avatar
