Can Someone Tell Me If I'm Doing Something Wrong?

I've been vaping with my eGo for about four weeks now.

The tank I'm using is only a few days old. I bought it on Tuesday, and it's a CE ROHS bottom coil tank. I keep getting liquid coming up through the bottom into the center hole. Is this what flooding is? Am I doing something wrong?

My ecig is an eGo T. It does it no matter what juice I'm using. I've tried about ten different kinds from different vendors with the same result. If I roll up a tissue and put it down in the hole, things work fine for a few hours, and then it happens again. Any help would be appreciated.

A few tips which may or may not help:

  • Make sure that you are taking gentle, long draws from your e-cig. Hard pulls will draw more liquid into the coil head than it can vaporize, allowing excess liquid to get into the air chamber and cause flooding.

  • Empty the tank, and dry everything off with a paper towel, especially the coil head. Refill the tank without over-filling it.

  • I'm not sure what tank you have exactly. If it is the kind which can use replaceable coil heads, you may need to replace the head. Its not all that uncommon for a coil head to be bad right from the start.

  • Clearomizer tanks have inherent weaknesses, chiefly a poor wicking-system IMHO. They are recommended for novices because they are easy to fill, easy to replace the coil heads, and relatively inexpensive. Some models and brands work better than others for different people, and it can be hit or miss until you find one which better suits your needs.

I hope that helps. :)

I didn't know for the first few days that these things weren't suppositories... it wasn't in the instruction booklet, go figure... :)

In all seriousness, you might want to fiddle with the coil, loosen it, or tighten it a little at any and all points that screw on. Just to make sure it's not too tight, or too loose. Make sure there are no missing o-rings, etc.. If that doesn't help, I'd probably get a different clearomizer.

I'm still having issues and this thing is getting on my nerves. Can you see how there is juice on the inside of the center tube? It seems to be coming up through the bottom. I promise you I didn't get any into the center hole when I filled it.

If it's a matter of adjusting something, I can do that. Or I can take it back to the store and ask them to replace it. Please help!

Find a cheap online source for your clearo. Order some more, and then toss that one. Or take it back, if you can.

I ended up taking it back and the owner gave me a new coil, which is doing the same thing. I'll probably do what you suggest today.
