Hi everyone. I have an eGo Twist 1100mah that's about a month old. I use a mini Nova tank with it, with a 1.8 ohm coil and I usually have my voltage set around 3.6 or 3.8. My question is, can the twist for the voltage not work correctly? It just seems at any voltage I set it at, it vapes burnt or the flavor is way off, even at it's lowest setting. I have an older Twist that the twist part is very loose and won't stay at any one voltage. I have to make sure the voltage isn't too high before I vape. My newer Twist is like that too. The Nova tank is brand new, as is the coil. I know Nova tanks need some break in time, but my older Nova was doing the same thing on this battery. Any help would be great!

I would first check the coils on your tanks. Once it is burnt, there is nothing you can do except to replace the heads.

If your heads looks like they did not burn than we can look into checking you batteries. Bust sounds like you burnt your heads.

Clean it , replace the heads......ETC... Try again.

You do have spare coils ? Right.

Good luck

Thanks, but I do know about burnt coils. I have burnt many in my time. This issue happens with new heads as well. I let them wick for about 10 minutes, set my twist around 3.6, give a few starter puffs, and those first few puffs are good, soon after that, it's burnt, harsh on my throat, and makes me sneeze.

I do have spare coils, I have an extra 5 pack of coils at work, along with my 5 coils I keep at home. I learned the hard way not to have extra coils.

Yes. Okay! 2nd step, Do a dry pull and vap.... If that solve your problem then you have problem with wicking properly. Try moving the rubber seal up try re-install coil.

And find out what is your battery is doing with multimeter. I kind of doubt it since its on both your batteries.

Good luck

Might be, but I have 3 nova tanks that do this on my two batteries. I did the mulitmeter, checked the voltage and at a full charge, it's around 3.8 volts. Even with the twist turned up to 4.8, it still measures 3.8. The voltage doesn't change when I move the twist around.
Broken twist switch. On both batteries?

Wow....! Tough luck.

I have not had that problem with my fast tech clone twists, but I do know that the local B@M stores will not carry spinners or twists any longer because of so many returns so I have to assume it can be a problem

Probably. I have had 3 twists in almost 2 years, and it seems the QC is getting worse. My very first twist was a trooper, it worked great until it got dropped one to many times and quit taking a charge.

Most likely, the knob isn't connecting with the pot inside the unit. Pull the knob off the bottom and when you look inside you'll see a little white plastic knob with a cross cut into it. The flange on your knob is supposed to go in one of those slots. Turn the plastic all the way to one side, line the flange up with one of the slots so that the highest or lowest voltage mark (depending on which way you turned it) is showing and put the knob back in. If it won't reach, use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the assembly closer to the end first. You may need to use epoxy or a pin to keep it in place. If that isn't clear, there are some youtube videos on repairing the twist.
