Nothing worse than getting your new mod in the mail & not having the correct batteries, or having them charged right?

So, I was the lucky buyer of Val's Prodigy 3.1 which has the 3.7V or 6V option.
These are the batteries I have (ALL of them brand new, still in package),

~~~ blue UltraFire ICR 123A, 880mAh 3.7V
and
~~~silver UltraFire LC 17670 1800mAh 3.7V

My question is simple, will these work on the Prodigy 3.1 that I purchased?

If not, why?
If not, please give me the exact battery with all of the little numbers/letters that I need to purchase to be able to vape with the Prodigy 3.1.

I appreciate your help a lot! I researched this device quite a bit before taking the plunge & buying it off her, sounds like it's a great mod!

Thanks in advance,
Jen

I don't know anything about the batteries you mentioned outside of what you listed. So given that, here goes:

The 123A 3.7v: No. If you use 2 of those, you're going to be over 7v. And that will kill any atty quick. Especially a standard resistance one.

The 17670: Not sure. I think the only thing to prevent it from working would be a physical fit. So try it and see.

Regarding what batteries to get, here are the ones I use. Each link lists the specific numbers and specs to look for.

3.7v:
AW P17670 Li-Ion Battery (3.7v - 1600mAh)

6v:
RCR123a Battery (3v - 750mAh)

First, you're right in saying that its a great mod... I'm extreeeeeeeemely happy with mine!!

Both of those battery combinations will fit and work with your Prodigy... HOWEVER:

-your 123s are 3.7v... when you put both of them into your prodigy, you'll be vaping at 7.4v. This is ok, but you'll need extremely high-resistance attys. This much juice will pulverize most attys : P
-you need to find out for sure if these batteries are protected... I strongly suggest only using protected batteries in mods. Un-protected batteries can explode/catch fire and really hurt you.

I use my Prodigy at 3.7v and 6v and use AW protected/safe chemistry batteries only... this is what I use:

For 3.7v... (1x) AW 17670 3.7v protected 1600 mah... they're black with a silver sticker (PS carries these)
For 6v... (2x) AW CR123 3.0v 500mah LiFePO4 safe-chemisty... they're solid blue. (PS doesnt have this exact battery, but they do have the same size/chemistry battery... just a different brand-name [Tenergy])

You will need a special charger for the 123 LiFePO4 batteries mentioned above (PS has it... Wonderlite [see below] does too).
Any LI-Ion 3.7v charger that will physically hold the 17670 battery will work for the AW 17670 mentioned above (PS has it... Wonderlite [see below] does too).

ECF has a battery vendor named "Wonderlite" that sells AW batteries... I've bought from him, many other ECFers have too... his prices are great, his shipping is fast. Search his name and you'll find his AW battery sale thread.

He will have all of the batteries you need... and chargers... he's a great guy, PM him if you have any issues. Hope that helps! If you need anything else, I'd be more than happy to help... PM me!

I just wanted to say thank you for the fast replies. I haven't gotten it in the mail yet, but I ordered the correct batteries from lighthound. That's normally where I buy my batteries anyway, they've got everything & they are located about an hour away from me, so I usually get my stuff the very next day :)

I ended up picking up the tenergy batteries, the same kind they sell on the pure smoker website while I was at the Houston Vape Meet. I had no clue that Greg from Elixir even had them until afterwards when we were hanging out outside & someone else was buying some batteries. I asked him if he had what I needed & got them on the spot.......no shipping :)

Vaping at 6V..........dang...........never did that before. I like it. I like the Prodigy even more!! This is a great device, I cannot believe that I waited so long to buy one. I LOVE how I can turn it on & off at the bottom. I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!

BTW Cash, I see ya'll are in Hendersonville. I lived in Antioch for a few years & worked in Vandy's ER. Still love Vandy & would return in a second, however Antioch left a lot to be desired. I probably would have liked it better if I could have lived out past murfreesburo toward shelbyville & just made the commute.

Awesome! Yes, Antioch is a bit .... of an interesting place. We love it up here in Goodlettsville/Hendersonville. Lots of small families, school system is great, and just the people in general will give you the shirt off their backs if you need it.

I don't think we will ever leave TN ... The South has certainly been good to us :)
