Can this Kayfun Deck be Saved?

This is the deck I got when I ordered a Tobeco kayfun Lite. Contacted the supplier twice and both times he said a new deck was in the mail, never did get one. As you can see there are no horizontal channels. Is it possible to dremel channels or just order a new deck from fastteck?

The image didn't show up. But to aswer your question, you can grind in channels. I recently did that on my kayfun. The channels were very narrow and not machined well at all, causing horrible wicking.

The picture doesn't show, but if you have a dremel, at this point, it couldn't hurt to try and machine your own.

Meanwhile, a V2 deck from fasttech is a cheap replacement.

If you have the tools that should be a simple fix. Of course the vendor should have replaced it for you!!

I can't see the picture, but yeah the channels on my Fastech kayfuns were nowhere close to my original and all had to be given the Dremel treatment. You may also have to ream out the air channel holes, I found mine to be pretty restricted before drilling them out. Now the $5 bases wick better and have better airflow than my authentic, which I'm not going to modify.

I honestly don't know what size the diamond bit I used was, but I'd suggest getting a few Diamond Wheel Point bits. You can most definitely cut the channels out yourself with nothing more than a Dremel, the right bits and a steady hand.

Looking at the cost of diamond wheel points and the work involved I thinks I will use the tank and base for parts. I can get a new EH Pro KFL + v2 for $15 and the one I just purchased is amazing. Thanks to all for the help and information.

Just dremel the channels yourself.. Heck if you vape 100% VG you might have needed to open them up anyway.

I would... You only have to dremel may 1/8" horizontally to give the juice an entrance... no need to cut across the entire lower deck. You could do that in 5 minutes.
